At last, the wait is over, our 2025 beginner's course is now live. Only 10 spaces (2 have sold already).

All the details are in the event link, feel free to ask questions if the information doesn't answer them.

A little about our club:
Kingdom of Fife Fletchers (incorporating Disability Sport Fife archers) was formed in 2013 as a development club to provide coaching and training facilities for able-bodied and disabled people in the sport of Archery.

We shoot in the relatively school at Windmill Campus in Kirkcaldy which is a modern, bright, warm, well-serviced facility. We shoot on Mondays from 7pm until 8:45ish

We are affiliated to Scottish Archery and to Archery GB, the national governing body for Target Archery in the UK.

In our small membership, we are proud to boast a Paralympian, Scottish Champions, Area champions, coaches to GB, Scottish and University team members and about 100 years of combined experience in both recreational and performance archery. We have both able-bodied and members with a wide range of disabilities and ages from 12 to well, let's just say old...

We run beginners course 1-2 times a year, follow the page for more information.

Archery Trivia:

At the Olympics, the target is 70m away (that's the width of an international football pitch) and the 10 ring is the size of a CD (compact disc). A deviation of just 0.05 degrees will see the arrow miss the 10 ring.

At this competitive level, their arrows typically fly at between 135 and 150 mph.

Archery trivia:
If shooting a 20lb bow (like most beginners do), shooting 60 arrows is the equivalent of pulling 0.5 tons in weight.

Serious outdoors competitors often pull the equivalent of 5 tons or more and walk 2.2 miles just to collect their arrows over a weekend of competing.
