Dunnikier Park Golf Club Ladies Section

we have around 35 lady members, with handicaps going from 4 to 36. We are a friendly section who love to welcome new members and players to the game

We have also recently introduced 9 hole competitions if you feel 18 holes is too much to start off with?!

We held our Mixed Open yesterday Sunday 2nd August and what a fantastic day it was, well done to the all the winners, we had lots of great comments about the golf course and the bar/catering.

Our Ladies held their annual Food Hamper Charity Golf Day on Sunday 26th July, with The Cottage Family Centre being our chosen charity. Thank you to all our Ladies for their kind donations for this event. There were groceries and toiletries donated, along with £55 in cash from a donation tin on the bar in Dunnikier Park Golf Club. One our of bar team also held a Beetle Drive recently and well done to Arlene Thomas raising £115 at the event.
A big thank you to Gail Grieve for organising the collection of goods/money and delivering these to the Cottage Family Centre this week x

We had a lovely sunny evening for the Cath Keddie competition on Friday night.

Well done to the winners Davie O'Neill and Gail Grieve, with a fantastic 45 stableford points.

2nd - Alf Keddie and Katrina Campbell - 40bih
3rd - Richard Murdoch and Jackie Reid - 40
4th - Guy Mathieson and Mel Patterson - 38bih

Course was in great condition and one pair even managed a 2 on the 18th hole - Jock Brennan and Margaret Kilpatrick.

Thanks to the bar and catering staff for looking after us.

The course was in great condition and we were well looked after in the clubhouse after our game.

A huge thank you to Paddy and Ann from Fojcik for their very generous donation of prizes, we really do appreciate it.

What a stunning day of sunshine we had for our Club Championship Ladies Semi- Finals, the course was looking great.

Well done to all the Ladies playing today, some very tight matches .

Our Ladies Club Championship qualifiers were held on Sunday 14th June and Tuesday 16th June, well done to the semi-finalists, some great scoring in the qualifying rounds.

A huge thank you to Fojcik Fireplaces for your very kind donation of prizes for the Ladies Club Championships, we really appreciate your support.

Winner of the Margo Archibald Salver was Brogan Clark with scratch 154 over two rounds.

Winner of the Flo McIntyre Salver was Gail Grieve with net 138 over two rounds.

Sunday 14th June we had nearest the pin on all par 3's and nearest in 2 on 4th and 16th holes.

Par 3's
3rd hole - no one reached the green.
6th hole - Shona Hutchison
11th hole - Shona Hutchison
14th hole - Brogan Clark

Par 4's
4th - Margaret Kilpatrick

We held our Memorial Quaich Competition yesterday and had a wee toast to absent friends no longer with us ⛳x

We had a lovely evening for our Tom Anderson/Engravia Shield mixed foursomes competition last night, thank you to all taking part.
Gents played off the silver tee's and Ladies off the bronze tee's. We were short of one Gent, so our Lorna played off the Gents silver tee's too 😁⛳.

Winners of the Engravia Shield were Chic Leslie and Gail Grieve - net 73.5
2nd handicap were George Westwater and Jean Briggs - net 75

Winners of the Tom Anderson were Lorna McKinlay and Shona Hutchison - scratch 85

Well done to the winners and all taking part.

Course was looking great and we had a lovely buffet & drink in the clubhouse afterwards.

Lovely day for our Invitational Greensomes at Dunnikier Park Golf Club.

Sun was shining, the course was in great condition and nice meal in the clubhouse after our game.
