NEWS: Park Golf Community Shield invites families to tee off together at Dunnikier

DPCG - Dunnikier Park Community Golf is inviting local families to pick up a club and have a go at Park Golf at its Park Golf Community Shield on Sunday 27th September.

The free Adult & Child Competition, taking place at Dunnikier Park Golf Club from 12.30pm to 2pm, is designed to be a fun and relaxed introduction to Park Golf for families of all abilities.

No previous golf experience is required and all equipment is provided, making it an easy way for families to try something new together.

Park Golf is a simple, accessible form of golf played on a short course using one club and one ball. A round takes around an hour, making it particularly suited to people who might find traditional golf intimidating, expensive or too time-consuming.

“You don't need to be a golfer, you don't need your own equipment and there’s no pressure to be good at it. It’s about having a go, having fun, spending some time together and hopefully discovering something new.” said Martin Christie, Chairperson & Volunteer, Dunnikier Park Community Golf

The Community Shield will see adults and children team up to compete for the title, with prizes for the winning teams.
Around 20 adult and child teams are expected to take part, with places available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dunnikier Park Community Golf is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) which aims to make golf more accessible and affordable for the local community. Events such as the Community Shield help introduce more people to Park Golf while bringing families and the wider community together.
