An amazing day with some incredible results!

Nathan Maguire put in an amazing sprint to finish 10th in his debut TCS London Marathon elite men’s wheelchair race.

Sam R Kolek overcame some mid race issues to finish in a respectable 1.48.11.

Samantha Kinghorn fought through technical difficulties to come 7th in the elite women’s wheelchair field.

Although coaches Pete and Ste were stuck on the bus from the beginning of the race to after the end, a great day was had by all and the team are so proud of everyone’s achievements 👏

A big day ahead for Kirkby AC at the TCS London Marathon!

Nathan Maguire goes in his first ever marathon distance. Let’s go Nath! 💪
His race number is 173

Sam Kolek is taking on the race once again. Let’s go Sam! 🍀His race number is 178.

And Samantha Kinghorn takes on her first London Marathon and first marathon in 7 years. Let’s go Sammi! 🇬🇧 Her race number is 313.

The whole team are cheering you on!

All set for my marathon debut tomorrow at the . Can’t wait to get back onto the London streets, it’s been 10 years since I raced the so I think it’s about time I pulled my finger out and did the whole distance.

Hannah in the T34 800m final:

Nathan Maguire in the T54 800m heat:
18.38 🇯🇵/ 10.38am 🇬🇧

And hopefully the Universal Relay final:

A busy day on track today for Kirkby AC.
Starting with Nathan Maguire in the T54 1500m heats at 9.30am 🇯🇵/ 1.30am 🇬🇧.

Hannah Cockroft OBE begins her World Championship defence in the T34 100m heats at 10.53am 🇯🇵/ 2.53am 🇬🇧

And hopefully she will reach the finals later on today at 17.50 🇯🇵/ 9.50 🇬🇧
