🏆🏆🏆 THREE TOURNAMENTS. THREE WINS. 🏆🏆🏆

What a remarkable few weeks for Quarrydale United Under 10s!

After winning both the Quarrydale Tournament and the Underwood Tournament last weekend, the boys have gone and done it again by lifting another trophy this weekend to make it an incredible three tournament wins in a row.

The determination, teamwork, attitude, and effort shown by every single player has been outstanding. Week after week, these young players continue to make everyone connected with the club incredibly proud.

Three tournaments.
Three finals.
Three trophies.

This achievement is a credit to the players, coaches, and the fantastic support from parents and families who are there every step of the journey.

The hard work on the training pitch is paying off, and these boys are showing exactly what it means to play for Quarrydale United.

Enjoy the moment, lads – you’ve earned it! 💙⚽

🏆🏆 DOUBLE TOURNAMENT WINNERS! 🏆🏆

What a fantastic weekend for Quarrydale United Under 10s!

On Saturday, the boys were crowned champions at our very own Quarrydale Tournament, showing great teamwork, determination, and some brilliant football throughout the day.

Not content with one trophy, they followed it up on Sunday by winning the Underwood Tournament as well, making it an incredible double-winning weekend! 💙⚽

Every player played their part, demonstrating the hard work, commitment, and team spirit that this group shows week in, week out. We couldn’t be prouder of all the players and coaches for representing the club so brilliantly.

Two tournaments. Two trophies. One outstanding team. 🏆🏆

Quarrydale United U9s took to the pitch yesterday against an in form DLFC Black who have had a great Spring League.

The boys took a little while to settle, struggling at first to find their rhythm and get comfortable on the ball. DLFC had a few early chances as a result of this nervous start. Early touches were rushed, and decision‑making wasn’t as sharp as usual.

As the game went on, though, something clicked.

Once the boys grew into the match, their confidence began to show. Passes became cleaner, movement off the ball improved, and they started to link up with the kind of football they’ve been working hard on in training. With each minute, they looked more composed and more determined.

Their patience paid off. When chances came, they took them well—showing great awareness in front of goal and real teamwork in the build‑up.

The improvement from the first few minutes to the final whistle was huge, and the boys should be proud of how they responded after a shaky start.

Overall, it was a performance that showed character: a reminder that even when the beginning is tough, settling down and trusting their football can turn the game around. A 5-0 win in the end which shows great team work and determination

After a tough couple of games, in which we had been unlucky and on the wrong end of the results, we finally got our result. Performances had been good but we just hadnt got over the line. Today we managed to do so against another a tough opposition, a Canoville side who probably thought they was unlucky not to be on the score sheet except from a brilliant defensive display from the Quarrydale boys who didnt stop throughout the whole game and took there chances today.

Both teams started well and played some good football but neither could get the better of the other and the game just went from end to end with limited opportunities created. As the half went on both teams stopped putting a foot on the ball and at times it felt more like tennis than football. But our break through came just before the half, H beating his opponent and firing from just outside the box into the bottom corner. Other than leading at half time and not conceeding it was a massive positive to see our lads using bith foot to cross, shoot and pass which we have been pushing for them to do for some time now.

After a half time talk from the coaches the boys came out and really started to play and move the ball about well creating a few opportunities but Canoville stood strong and there keeper making some good saves. They also looked dangerous on the break, but Marshy who's found himself in a different postion recently and has gone from strength to strength in it, was up for the challenge along side Rome they did there best to limit chances and if they did break through Jono was on hand to maintain a clean sheet. Wingers of Ethan, Vinnie and Jenson never stopped getting forward and back creating as many chances as they could and a new position also for Henry Burch upfront, it wouldnt be to long before H could get his second and Vinnie getting the assist. A third shortly after when a corner wasnt quite cleared fell to Rome who slotted nicely away from outside the box. As the game came towards the end a lovely pass from Marshy into H who again found the net to complete his hat-trick with a left footed finish, and his third from outside the box. A good day at the office as we have our final fixture to play at the end of April.
