Just landed from a great few days with this bronze assessment group in Teesdale for

We had stunning weather, and walked through similarly stunning scenery all along the Teesdale valley. The group were absolutely fantastic throughout, really gelled as a team, grasped concepts thrown at them easily and navigated like ninjas. They topped it all off with an absolutely brilliant music video about their exped.

Without a doubt one of the strongest teams I've ever assessed or supervised, and would definitely do really well at silver and gold levels...really hope they do continue working through the award levels.

First time a group has ever bought me a present as well, really shows they're genuinely thoughtful and caring individuals (N.B. this was NOT a bribe to pass them!! 😆)

A bit of a murky one for these guys from GLOWAA on a charity walk in one of my favourite spots on the Lake District 5 Peak Challenge. I guided them on the Y3P for last year, and it was nice to see a few familiar faces amongst the crowd!

The field became quite separated almost immediately, but well managed by in keeping the ratios in remit....93 people is a handful at the best of times...93 all moving at different speeds is at least 12 handfuls!

All down in good time, tired, but well pleased with their achievements.

A recent Y3P guiding the Capital Thermal Group for

Some very dramatic skies and weather at times, possibly my wettest Y3P to date, but I'd still say I got off pretty lightly!

We lost nearly half by Philpin Farm, but the remainder managed to get down in just over 13 hours, a long day for them but they were all well pleased to have completed.

It must be calorie deficit Sunday?!

Massive carb craving, so somewhere after two breakfasts and lunch...but before the roastie dinner...knocked up these mighty fine treats, reibekuchen.

It's not a day on the hill post, nor a recipe post, but look 'em up for a refill the tank type of day 😋

Y3P for yesterday, again surprisingly dry and sunny overall, never actually had an absolute minger of a Y3P 🤔

No photos, but had to share my little Coros dude...think we may have done one too many kilometres somewhere?

I'm curious what happens if I'd used up that last 5% though...do I just stop moving and have to wait for breakdown??

Turned out nice again! So much for the forecast of showers from midday...we had a cracking day on the Coledale Horseshoe with a group from Accenture for , much deserved after last year's beasting on Helvellyn! 😣

Grisedale Pike first, a tough start, but much preferable to coming down it... especially if it had rained. The main group split into about four, each doing their own variation to suit, with the end meeting point at the Coledale Inn.

Great day out with a great group again 🙂

Another stunning day in another stunning part of the world.

My group were fantastic company all day...kept a great pace, remained in good spirits, supported each other, and all completed with no injuries or retirees...and we had more than our fair share of laughs on the way.

Between them all, they raised over £23,000...and still counting, an awesome effort and result I'm sure they're all proud of 💪

Great to work with ... ... and to meet Jo Rodham and Ian B

Well done everyone...🙂

Great day out in one of my favourite spots in the Lakes with these guys, raising money for Saints Foundation walking the 10 Peaks for

After a hot start, there was an obvious group split by Allen Crags, so myself and another guide took them round the 5 peaks, which proved a much better option and enjoyable day for them all.

Apart from a couple of very light showers descending The Band, we dodged the wet stuff all day, rewarding the group with great views from the tops.

Great few days with this bronze group on assessment in East Herts. For

Couldn't have wished for better weather, in some stunning surroundings, and with a good bunch up for the challenge. Each day they opted to take more weight than was requested or required, and extended their walks voluntarily, whilst still completing within a good timeframe.

No attitude, just a keenness to engage and learn, which paid dividends as they passed with ease, and have gone away with a new found love of the outdoors with all bar one looking towards their silver and gold.

Great work 👏👏👏

Great day out working for on a Y3P with this lovely bunch...

Despite a wet & horrible start, they all managed good times with only a few retiring. As the day went on we saw increasingly longer bursts of sunshine and shorter bursts of rain spurring them all on to a week deserved pub finish.

Done in a clockwise fashion starting at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, not my usual way but luckily had Matt with me to stop us getting lost 😆
