So that’s a wrap on the first two rounds of the 2026 Sustain Fuels 750MC - Formula Vee Championship, held in great conditions at Donington Park on Easter Monday. For the it was finally a chance to judge all the winter developments against the rest of the grid, see who was quick and who the surprises for the season were going to be. No doubt really about the later, with a fantastic set of results for Bradley Tarlton. We had a couple of close races together last season, but Monday saw him and his GAC perform at a different level. My tip for the top.
A great lineup of 27 cars made the grid, and produced a couple of entertaining races for the spectators and those watching on the Alpha Live 750 Motor Club livestream.
You can see how the Demon Tweeks Motorsport C Signs & Graphics TCR Challenger got on in Race 1 in the video link below. Link to part 2 - the climax - will be in the comments. Enjoy!
Would welcome comments and feedback.

Getting in some extra practice ahead of the Retro Kart Championship that we will be competing in this season alongside our normal 750MC - Formula Vee Championship. What was meant to be a gentle test day at Little Rissington Kart Circuit, to run newly rebuilt engines in, turned exciting when a rain shower arrived just as we were going out on circuit. What could possibly go wrong with 45+ year old kart and engine, driven by a 62 year old driver on slicks and dry setting in the rain - watch the video to see how we got on.
PS: if you watch to the end you’ll see me getting told off for running the camera!

What was meant to be a gentle Running-In Session turned into a fight for survival, as the rain came down as we pushed started. Mega fun re-learning how to dr...

More preparations for the upcoming season. This time it’s the turn of the all important race kit to get a check over and spruce up, plus a new fireproof balaclava to comply with the new safety regulations.

First outing of the year, and a cold one it was too!
Last weekend saw the joining a few of the other 750MC - Formula Vee Championship competitors at Donington Park for the 750 Motor Club Season Starter Trackday. For TCR it was a chance to bed in the engine after a few off-season updates, ensure the newly painted bodywork stayed on and to get the driver back into the groove. The sessions were a bit frantic, with a damp track and a big mix of cars and speeds meaning that there were a number of close calls and Red Flag stoppages, but we achieved the goals for the day and now have a few weeks back in the garage to hone the setup ahead of the first rounds of the championship, back at Donington on Easter Monday. Check back here for updates and details of the event.

In-car action from the final round of the 2025 Sustain Fuels 750MC - Formula Vee Championship at Mallory Park. off P7 for this one, and with a new nosecone fitted - plus lots of black tank tape!
Video covers the first 7 laps - which shows just how competitive, close (& clean!) open wheel racing can be. Everything was going well until getting hooked up (literally) on the rear of Ben Cressey when he couldn’t grab a gear at the Hairpin - we did try to help him round but eventually had to brake and drop back, losing momentum and the tow from the pack. To see how we get on catching back up then please watch part 2 (link in Comments).
If you like what you’ve seen, or want to learn more about then get in touch - always happy to chat about the best single seater race series in the UK.

In car video action from Race 1 of the Sustain Fuels 750MC - Formula Vee Championship from Mallory Park on Saturday.
Unfortunately the action was cut short due to an incident between the two leaders, which saw most of the race completed behind the Safety Car before the Chequered flag brought an early end to proceedings. Lucky for the , as we had damaged front bodywork when dicing in the pack.
Not our finest race by far, but at least we survived to finish P7, and would be back out for Race 2
