What a way to start the league season! 🔥⚽️

The girls battled hard from the first whistle, with both teams working tirelessly and 0–0 at half-time.

We came out strong in the second half, stepped up the pressure and found the goals we needed to secure a fantastic 2–0 victory! 💪💛

A brilliant team performance, plenty of fight and a winning start to our league campaign! 👏👏

We’re incredibly excited to announce that Kirkburton Jets have a brand-new home!

📍 Gregory Playing Fields

A new home, a new chapter, and a place for our players, coaches, families and supporters to come together and make some fantastic memories. 💙

Gregory Playing Fields will be the new base for the Jets as we continue to grow, develop and build something special within our local community.

Come on down to our first game this Sunday to watch us take on our first opponent in the 26/27 league.⚽️

🏆 That semi-final feeling! 🏆

A couple of weeks ago, some of our Jets took part in a fantastic charity 7-a-side tournament at the superb Pontefract Collieries Women's and Girl's FC home ground!

With just 8 players, scorching temperatures, and the tournament taking place the day after the England vs Norway Women’s World Cup quarter-final😬, the squad gave everything they had throughout the day.

Group stage results:
⚽ Jets 0–1 Monk Fryston Ladies
⚽ Jets 1–0 Pontefract Collieries
⚽ Jets 1–1 Garforth Rangers Roses
⚽ Jets 0–0 Crossley Belles
⚽ Jets 1–1 Oulton Athletic Ladies

Those results earned the Jets a well-deserved place in the semi-finals! 💪

By then, the heat and a lack of fresh legs from the bench had taken their toll. The team gave 100% until the final whistle but unfortunately bowed out with a 4–0 defeat to Garforth Rangers Roses.🌹

A huge well done to everyone who represented the Jets with pride, determination, and team spirit throughout the day. 👏

A big thank you to Pontefract Collieries for hosting such a brilliant tournament and providing fantastic facilities. We loved being part of it! 💙✈️

What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of our first-ever 11-a-side season with the Jets at The Secret Garden! 💙⚽

It’s been an incredible journey, full of hard work, commitment, laughter and so much progress. We’re so proud of everything we’ve achieved together in our first 11-a-side season, and this is only the beginning. We can’t wait to keep improving, growing as a team, and continuing to drive women’s football forward in Kirkburton. 💪

As a club, we are absolutely delighted to announce that our very first Girls Team will be representing Kirkburton FC this season! 🙌💙

The Kirkburton Lionesses U12s will be entering the West Riding Girls League 🦁⚽️

This is a massive milestone for the club and a huge step forward in continuing to grow the game and provide opportunities for everyone in our community 💙👏

A huge thank you to Lee & Adam for stepping up and taking on the team — exciting times ahead! 🔥💪

The Lionesses are still on the lookout for a few more players, so if you’re currently in School Years 5 & 6 and fancy joining a brilliant new team, please get in touch with Lee or Adam 📲⚽️
