After a flying start to life in Division 5A, Kirkburton Jets showed real promise, finishing 4th in the table and earning a well-deserved place in Division 5 alongside some of the strongest sides from across both 5A and B.
The step up, however, hasn’t been easy. Facing tougher opposition week in, week out, the Jets have found it challenging to turn performances into points. But if today’s result is anything to go by, things might just be starting to click.
Away at Tyersal, the hard work at training finally paid off. The Jets put in a disciplined, confident performance to secure a 4-0 win. While the hosts battled hard and created a few promising chances of their own, it was Kirkburton who showed the cutting edge and control where it mattered most.⚽️
A big result, a clean sheet, and a real statement that this team is growing into the division. If they can build on this momentum, there’s plenty more to come from the Jets.✈️
