ON THE PLATEAU! This weekend our Cairngorms Munros group were treated to expansive views and big mountains, via runnable trails around the Cairngorm Plateau! On Saturday they ticked-off both Cairngorm and Ben Macdui, before visiting Sgor Gaoith and Mullach Clach a Bhlair on the Sunday. A strong group, expertly led by Rosie - before the heatwave hits!🔥

BETTER THAN forecast 🎉 An unexpectedly dry day guiding regular Faith around the two summits of the Ballachulish Horseshoe yesterday. A late start meant Keri and Faith missed the early downpour before heading to Schoolhouse Ridge 💦 but sadly the views remained negligible!

Always a great adventure but, as is often the way, the sun only made an appearance once the pair were finished!

VET WOMEN 🙌🏼 We want to congratulate two UNPAUSE athletes on their strong performances at Rab Scafell Sky Race on June 6th. Firstly well done to Jo who was the first and one-n-only V55+ female finisher🥇running the full course with her daughter, Molly💥

Also congratulations to Kirstie (not pictured here) who finished 11th F overall and 3rd V50 female. We were all delighted to see three V50 in the women’s top 11!! ⭐️

Tough weather conditions and a tough course - but these tough had it covered 💯

SWIFT HALF season is underway 🍻 Congratulations to regular Lonneke Reger who joined us for a guided Aonach Eagach traverse this Sunday (along with Sally, both led by Ella). Lonneke then continued along the route of the SILVA Swift Half to complete the clockwise round in 11hrs. This is the first (known) round of the season and we’re delighted to add Lonneke’s name to our completions list! 🙌🏼

MAKING HAY while the ☀️! Guides Raeanne and Fiona were also about to run Ramsay Round support on Sunday, so found themselves free for a jolly around the Ring of Steall and western Mamores.

Meanwhile Nicky Spinks has been catching up on sleep and enjoying some well-earned R&R at headquarters - the cafe 😂 (see final pic)!

TWO MUMS on the run💥 After Ramsay Round supporting duties were cut short, guides Keri and Sarah made the most of their existing ‘childcare window’ (which coincided with some incredible evening light), to run the spine of the Mamores at sunset. Now that’s a !! 💯

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 SCOTTISH day 2 involved a lap on the classic Ring of Steall - 4 Munros, two grade 1 scrambles and an all-round brilliant mountain circuit ⭐️ Expertly guided by Saki, this super strong pair made use of the improving forecast to tick-off one of the best routes Scottish Skyrunning has to offer.

WET N WINDY has been the theme so far this weekend but things are set to change! Yesterday was our Introduction to Scrambling course, followed by Scottish Skyrunning and Navigation Essentials today. Everyone got thoroughly soaked and buffeted about the place in some distinctly autumn-like weather. Luckily for our ladies (pictured here on Buachaille Etive Beag summit), they will get to capitalise on some real life S.U.N.S.H.I.N.E tomorrow!!! / and not a moment too soon.

Thanks to all those who stuck it out in the grim today, with the goal of learning something new in the ✔️

TAKE TWO! This weekend INOV8 athlete Nicky Spinks will have another crack at the Double Ramsay! - the ‘proper way’ in memory of Charlie. The challenge is also a ‘celebration of life’ on her 20-year anniversary of surviving breast cancer.

Nicky is raising funds for two charities that are really close to her heart; Odyssey and 👇🏼
