Edenthorpe Ladies & Girls Football One of South Yorkshires largest female grassroots clubs | 14 Girls teams (U7-U16) & 3 Ladies teams.

Edenthorpe Juniors has 5 girls teams U9-U12, U14 and our wonderful Ladies Team and is part of a larger 2 star accredited club that has 14 Mixed teams from Development age 4 - Adults. If you fancy getting involved with girls football we are looking to create teams at the following age groups for Sept 2023 U7, U8 & U12.

Are you a young female footballer aged 16–17 looking for your next challenge?

We’re building something special in our Under 18 Ladies squad and we’d love to have you be part of it. Whether you’re returning to the game or ready to take the next step! We competed in Div 1 Sheffield league last year. Ideally looking for outfield players in particular strikers and midfielders.

We’re on the lookout for a couple more players to join the Edenthorpe FC Ladies First Team ahead of the new season!

💙💛 And that’s a wrap! 💛💙

The ladies yellows played their last game of a VERY long and VERY competitive season.

And what a season! 2ND place finish 🥈 out of 14 amazing teams, the development since last season (where we finished 8/12) is clear to see all round and the same can be said for the level the entire league is now playing at and is amazing for women’s football! 💪🏻🙌🏻

Today’s game was a battle for 2nd place against a well set up Garforth in 3rd, we went 2-0 up in the first half some great passages of play and totally dominated.

Second half came, much of the same, but Garforth capitalised from an unlucky bounce off the shin of one of our players and fired a rocket into the top corner…. 2-1 game on!

We saw the game out but to be honest we had a few nervous final minutes! Was a good quick game. Thanks to Garforth for a great season keeping us on our toes throughout!

What a brilliant weekend for our Under 9s girls down at Bridlington for beach football! ⚽️🏖️
A completely different style of game on the sand, against teams from all over the area, and the girls absolutely loved every minute of it. New challenges, new opponents, and a real chance to play with freedom and just enjoy their football.
Sunshine, sea air, ice creams between matches, and plenty of laughs with teammates and parents alike. The kind of day that turns into the memories they’ll talk about for years.
Massive well done to the girls, and a big thank you to the coaches, parents and supporters who made the trip. Days like this are what grassroots football is all about. 💛
