The carry over from resistance training to every day life has a bigger impact than any other activity on the planet….
there I said it, try and prove me wrong I dare you 👊
Better for mobility than yoga, pushes cardiovascular fitness, lowers risk of injury
and even slows down the aging process which will keep you out the care home a bit longer, to the annoyance of the kids 😊
While quite literally making you better at everything, including any activity or sport 🙌
If you can perform 20 lunges with good form you won’t have any trouble climbing some stairs,
build strength and control in the squat movement you won’t be collapsing or plopping into a chair anytime soon
(maybe except the day after training 🤣)
All my clients who come to me for strength training will be worked through certain movements
which we carefully progressively overload based on variations of
Squatting, lunging, hinging, pushing, pulling and carrying…….
And this just like a jigsaw starts to build a complete full body of strength,
No matter what age, cos this isn’t about mr universe,
It’s about everybody moving freely and more easily everyday for longer,
cos getting stronger will slow down what time and life will inevitably do to our bodies,
maybe even making it possible to hit the genetic snooze button….
Resistance training is a privilege, use it while you can 💪
