Unite Yoga

Unite Yoga Group Yoga classes for Beginners & Improvers, Yoga Nidra, Chair Yoga, Yin Yoga and 1:1 sessions I remain forever a student and love learning.

Hi, I'm Sarah and I offer a whole range of in-person and online Yoga classes. I know all too well, how the pace of modern life can impact our health and wellbeing. That’s why I am so passionate about creating space and opportunity within my classes for you to slow down and connect back to yourself… physically, mentally and spiritually. I spent many years teaching in secondary schools, training har

d and running a Taekwon-Do club with my husband, until, in my late-thirties I realised I was living in an unsustainable way. My big wake up call was being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013. Like many people, the majority of whom are women, I found myself with an autoimmune disease diagnosis. This caused me to look at how I was living and make some changes. I had already discovered yoga and meditation, and these were a great help to me in coming to terms with my diagnosis and implementing positive lifestyle changes. Gradually, I took steps towards living a more nourishing and present lifestyle. Fortunately, I have remained fit and well and hope to maintain this. In 2015, after having my son, I resigned from teaching in schools and re-trained to teach yoga. I have been teaching weekly yoga classes in Kinver and Stourton, near Stourbridge, ever since. I have completed further trainings in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Children’s Yoga, Yoga for Perimenopause and Chair Yoga, amongst other things, and I am always reading and developing my own knowledge for everyone that comes to my classes. I have a special interest in how yoga can be of benefit to women as they move through all life stages and I know that it will help me and many others to stay grounded, connected and more mindful. I look forward to sharing yoga with you and I would love to see you at a class soon.

What a lovely week exploring the water element 🩵

Your homework task for this week is to wash your hands mindfully.

Pay attention to the feel of the water on your skin, notice its temperature. What does the soap smell like? What’s the texture of the soap? What sounds can you hear as you wash your hands? Perhaps you could give yourself a gentle hand massage.

Enjoy your mindful hand wash 🩵✋

Sunday, you have had it all 💜
Thanks so much to everyone who joined me this morning for Park Yoga at Brinton Park. We were lucky with the weather and didn’t get wet. Well done for braving it and taking the chance!
This evening, I had the pleasure of running a Perimenopause and Menopause Yoga workshop. It was a small group, but lovely to connect and explore different ways to relate to and navigate this phase of life. Hopefully, this will become a regular offering. Keep an eye out for the next date x

I have had such a lovely week!
Our new term has started and we’ve been exploring the Earth element, with Pranayama, mudra, visualisation and grounding flows and poses.

There have been new faces in class too, which is great.

Homework for this weekend is to get outside barefoot 🦶

If you would like to join me on Sunday for Park Yoga at Brinton Park this is the perfect opportunity to get out in nature. I have booked the sunshine ☀️ See you for a 9:30 start?

A new week and a new term of classes starting tomorrow!
It's a busy one- with 2 extra offerings on Sunday.

It would be lovely to see you for the next 6-week term if you can make it. We are looking at the Pañcamahābhūta, the 5 Tattvas or elements. It's been a while since we covered these, and I'm looking forward to sharing some lovely practices with you.

Even if you can't make every session, the sessions can be understood and enjoyed as standalone classes. You can book single classes, as always, if needed. I know the holiday season is here/ approaching, so do what you can, when you can.

It doesn't have to be all or nothing... something is better than nothing at all.
