📣📢📣 Calling all crafters! 📣📢📣 Do you have a stash of fabric that’s been taking up shelf space as it waits for that perfect project? Now’s the time to use it up!
SU Scotland are looking to bless their school SU Groups by giving them a goody bag with some resources to help them be more inclusive and meet the needs of young people who have additional support needs. One of the resources they hope to gift each of the 450 SU Groups is a soft mini quilt (10cm x 10cm) that contains a wooden cross. Holding and manipulating a soft piece of fabric can help a young person to calm and regulate their emotions when they feel overwhelmed. The hope is that holding one of these mini quilts will do that AND point them to Jesus.
This is where you come in... You would be provided with instructions, a small wooden cross to tuck inside, and the transferred panel with the logo but SU Scotland would greatly appreciate it if you could supply the fabric panels and the wadding for the centre and then stitch it all together.
Perhaps you’re part of a craft group that could join together to complete a batch of quilts? Whether you’re able to complete one quilt or 10, all will make a positive difference to the young people SU Scotland work with.
