➑️New Feature: Feed - Keep up to date with archer activities!

Hi everyone πŸ‘‹

I've now added a new section to the site called Feed, which aims to bring everything together. It automatically displays recent public activities of fellow archers such as scores, accomplishments or favouriting of competitions.

There is a Public and Following feed available, where Public shows activities from all archers, whereas Following only shows archers you are following. You can set your default Feed in your settings.

Right now you can Like and Comment on activities, as well as add your own text based post. I can build on this based on what everybody wants to see.

As part of this update, if you're using the app then you can also start to recieve feed related notifications to your phone. I'll look to expand this to other parts of the site soon.

Let me know how you get on :)

There's a new button on ArcheryHub - "Feed" that I've quietly pushed out. A Public and Follower feed that brings everything together.

Will do a proper announcement on it soon, but go have a look πŸ™‚

Also, get the app and you'll be able to get push notifications.

Hello all πŸ‘‹!

Over the last few weeks, I've quietly pushed out a few updates.

They are all better with the app. You should now see a "Install App" button in the header when logged in. Click it to find out more about thow to install.

You may need to refresh a few times to get the latest changes but this will no longer be required again!

πŸ‘‰ Offline support for adding scores, sightmarks and achievements which then upload when you're back online

πŸ‘‰ Restore score plotting that you started but then forgot to save or accidently clicked away from

πŸ‘‰ iPhone tweaks that improve general useability, such as preventing odd zooming, blurry targets, fix the handicap chart and improving full screen mode in the range timer

πŸ‘‰ Notification banner when offline or when there is an update so you get new changes with one tap

πŸ‘‰ Improved authentication so hopefully less random logouts, so long as you come back to the ArcheryHub within 7 days of your last interaction.

Lots going on here and the initial update or login will show caching notifications at the top, preparing you for offline use.

Let me know how you get on πŸ™‚

To aid with developing offline support, I purchased an iPhone 🍎.

Doing so has revealed various... "quirks" with ArcheryHub on iOS such as:
- Blurry target face when zooming in non full-screen plotting mode
- Randomly zooming in when clicking into input boxes, causing the nav to be out of position
- Full screen doesn't work in the range timer

Anything else? Let me know 😊

All the above will be fixed when offline support drops, as well as other little tweaks to make things smoother.

I'm working as quick as I can on it and it's not too far away. It's quite complicated to get right and time is of course the biggest barrier given my full time job.

As a side, ArcheryHub is expensive to run (costs way more than it earns) and if you'd like to support us visit https://archeryhub.net/hub/premium - it will be needed in the long run to keep it going. Much appreciated πŸ™

Thank you so much for those already subscribed!! πŸ’™

Thanks all! More to follow soon πŸ‘€

Making some good progress on allowing the app to run without internet (offline support). More to follow soon... πŸ‘€

Leaderboard Update! πŸŽ–οΈπŸŽ–οΈ

As well as being at the top of the leaderboard, top scorers of each round every month will now achieve a badge on their profile, if there is more than one archer who submitted public scores for that round.

You can also look back at previous month's leaderboards.

Badges have been awarded for the month of January and will happen every month going forward. You should aim to get your score submitted by the 2nd for the previous month.

This forms as part of a wider aspiration to improve profiles and awarding badges is something we can definitely build on too.

Let me know what you think πŸ™‚

P.S. I also added ~60 competitions today!πŸ˜… Emails should be going out tomorrow.

Hi all πŸ‘‹,

I've made some improvements to the score dashboard chart, as requested by one of our users:
- Competition and Practice scores are now separated
- Trend lines track the scores over time
- You can navigate to the specific score by tapping on it
- Narrow down / zoom to specific dates using the tool below the chart

You can toggle the different aspects of the chart on or off by tapping any of the keys in the legend.

Note you may need to refresh the page a few times in order to see the new chart.

Which new statistic would you like to see on the score dashboard?
