We had great fun today hosting our Mini Arena Show Cross, and want to say a huge thank you to all who joined us!

It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the day, gaining confidence, building in experience, and just having fun. As usual, our supporters really bounced off each other, and were positive, and encouraging.

Thank you as always to Craig Ellis Photography for being part of our day, and getting the best photos as always. Please ‘like’ Craig’s page to view, and purchase, his photos.

Well done to every single competitor, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Our Mini Arena Show Cross is going ahead as planned tomorrow! ☀️

Thankfully, it’s set to be a cooler day, with our course all set out and ready to go in our outdoor arena. We have 12 fences in total, with all rounds being timed. In our smaller classes, all the xc fences will be simple working hunter style jumps, with portable xc fences being introduced from 60cm onwards.

40cm to start at 11am. 60cm not before 1pm. Course walks between classes - the course will stay the same throughout the day.

All entries on the day, plenty of parking in our pony paddock, rosettes to 6th place and stunning rosettes for 1st place. Craig Ellis Photography will be capturing all action throughout the day. Food and drinks available from the Cottingham Parks Golf and Leisure Club which is a very short walk from the yard.

We will be spot checking passports for proof of vaccinations, so please have your horses passport to hand.

Come along and have some fun! Encouraging, and welcoming atmosphere guaranteed!

Our Squish Poles have landed! 💕

We’re very excited to have received our lovely pink Squish Poles, which will be a welcome edition to our Pole Work, and Grid Work Clinics!

Lightweight and super soft, our Squish Poles came ready to use, and eliminate any concerns about standing on, or rolling a pole.

Tried and tested this afternoon by my very own pony, Jack, who finished his schooling session with a stretch over the poles 💕

This Saturday we are holding our brilliantly popular, Mini Arena Show Cross!

Held on a rubber surface, our Mini Arena Show Cross consists of approx. 10 jumps - a mixture of show jumps, and working hunter / portable Jump4Joy cross country fences. A great way to have a go over rustic fences, in an arena atmosphere, and on a surface (so no hard ground!)

Our dinky classes will consist of very basic working hunter style fences, with portable cross country fences being added from 60cm upwards. We actively support grassroots levels, so this is a fun, and encouraging event open to all!

All entries on the day. Rosettes to 6th place. Cross country colours or show jumping attire can be worn. Craig Ellis Photography attending the day to capture the action.

For further class details, please see our event page, or PM directly

Today we resorted to Plan B for our monthly Pole Work Clinic, moving from the outdoor arena to our lovely indoor, to avoid the summer downpours.

So it was a last minute change of layout (as our pole work exercises are always planned in advance) but the exercises worked brilliantly as always.

Thank you to all of the combinations who joined us today - ten out of ten for effort and enthusiasm, with plenty of positive work achieved.

Our Wednesday Pole Work session has proven to be a big hit, so please look out for our July Clinic date. Pictured is Dawn with her stunning youngster, Wanda, who enjoyed their first pole work clinic away from home.

Thank you so much to everyone who headed over to CEC yesterday to join us for our Unaffiliated Show Jumping.

It was a pleasure to welcome so many regular supporters back, as well as having some new faces join us for the day. The course rode beautifully, with a very rare eight double clears being brought to the table in the 50cm class!

We saw some incredible jump offs and strategic turns, with Louise Bell-Knight and her super mare, Jewel, taking the crown for the fastest jump of time of the day, in just 15.10 seconds! A big round of applause also goes to Paul Stafford, and Max, who also rode two double clears, to take the red rosettes for both the 60cm and 70cm classes.

Capturing all the action from the day, was the brilliant Craig Ellis Photography, who worked tirelessly from start to finish. All photos can be viewed and purchased using the following link -https://craigellisphotography.instaproofs.com/gallery/ /2154269

Our next Unaffiliated Show Jumping is on Saturday 4th July, and is not only part of our Points League series, but is also a qualifier for the Sunshine Tour, held at the iconic Hickstead show ground, in September. For further details on the Sunshine Tour, please visit www.sunshinetour.co.uk
