The 2026 show season is officially over for us at CEC, as we look positively to the winter months ahead, with plenty of exciting events and clinics planned.

Our End of Season Show plus Unaffiliated Show Jumping on Sunday was the perfect way to bring our season to a close - after a challenging summer for everyone (hot, and very dry ground conditions) it was great to see everyone showing off their horses paces, and also taking part in our Unaffiliated Show Jumping.

A huge thank you to our incredible judges, Natalie Hudson (Ridden) and Natalie Watling (In Hand) who had a tough job on their hands, in some large classes, but continuously gave our competitors endless encouragement and feedback. Thank you also to our ring stewards, Olivia and Grace, who kept the rings moving and the competitors in check!

Thank you also to our Show Jumping sponsor, Bell4Business Limited who continued to support us after we sadly had to withdraw the ring from the summer show, and never faltered in their intention to support our show. It was great to hear the noise and the cheers from the show jumping ring, with some fabulous jump offs being ridden. Thank you to Isla and Niamh in for being fabulous pole pickers, and jump off timers, to support the running of the ring.

We were very fortunate and reassured to have professional first aid cover from start to finish, ensuring our competitors could enjoy the day without compromise to their safety. A weight off the shoulders of the CEC staff, on a busy day. Our first aid cover was brought to us by the incredibly friendly and professional, CQC registered, HFR Solutions CIC who offer event first aid cover for a variety of events in the area.

Craig Ellis Photography once again captured all the moments from the day, and had them uploaded in record time, for everyone to purchase and enjoy. We may be biased, but Craig and his team really do get THE best shots, and we look forward to working with him again next season.

Our caterers for the day were Flipping Great Dutch Pancakes, Toast and Chilli (toasties, drinks and ice cream) and Balloons and Blooms, who not only provided our stunning judges flowers, but also those important post show proseccos! Thank you Helen, Caroline and Mandy for attending - we loved having you join us.

And finally, it goes without saying, thank you hugely to all the competitions, spectators, volunteers and supporters who not only joined us for this event, but all our events throughout the year. Walking up and down the show ground, it's brilliant to hear the support and buzz that you all create, and this excitement carries on after the day, when we see all your lovely tags and photos on the social media pages.

Thank you for an amazing 2026 season, we have exciting plans for 2027, which will no doubt come around before we know it 🥂

Have poles, will travel!

I’m very excited to be heading over to Burton Agnes Livery Yard on Sunday 4th October for a pole work, and flatwork, clinic.

Having run pole work clinics for nearly ten years now, its great to still be able to take these pole work sessions to other yards, to share the many benefits that pole work has to offer both horse and rider.

This clinic is open to none Burton Agnes liveries too, so if you are in the Driffield and surrounding area, feel free to come along.

We will be working on a variety of pole work exercises, including raised poles too, and are open to all levels and abilities. Fully insured, UKCC Level 2 instructor.

Please drop Burton Agnes livery yard a PM to book or message Clare directly on the number below

We hope you’re all bathed and prepped ahead of our last show of 2026!

After the hard ground we all experienced up and down the country over summer, we are so excited to see green grass rings, and perfect ground conditions.

Pre entries have now closed, with pre entry numbers being available to collect from the secretary box from 08:00 onwards. All other entries will be accepted in cash on the day.

We have Ridden and In Hand classes for everyone, includes walk and trot classes in the ridden ring. Don’t forget we have a morning, and an after noon championship running in both rings, with Supreme Champion at the end of the show.

This show is a The Bloomfields Equine Sports UK Grassroots Championships qualifier, with the first three exhibits from each ESUK class eligible to go forward to the championship.

Over in the Bell4Business Limited Show Jumping Ring, we are kicking off with clear round at 10:00, which will run for 45 mins approx. In the smaller classes (up to 50cm) lead rein will be permitted, with one person allowed in the ring to for encouragement. Our show jumping ring is run under current BS rules, and please remember, cheering is most welcome, but no outside interference allowed from the 60cm classes upwards!

Parking for all horse boxes and trailers is in the secure parking field behind the show ground. Absolutely no car parking permitted in the horse box area - all cars to park on the show ground itself adjacent to the rings.

We have Craig Ellis Photography covering the day, Toast and Chill serving hot toasties, coffee and ice cream, Flippin' Great serving fresh Dutch Pancakes with a variety of toppings, and Balloons and Blooms with their unique stand of fresh flowers, and Prosecco, gin, c***r and beers. Professional first aid cover throughout the day.

Please use the postcode HU16 5SW to locate us - head to Cottingham Parks where you will see our show ground located on the right hand side, from Woodhill Way.

And as always, please remember to smile, breathe and enjoy the day! We look forward to welcoming you!❤️
