AFC Preston Ladies and Girls

AFC Preston Ladies and Girls AFC Preston Ladies and Girls are a successful and longstanding football club. We are adding an under 14's team for the 2017/18 season.

Recently the Ladies team have won the East Riding Womens Divison 1 league in the 2014/15 and 2015/2016 seasons and were finalists in the 2014/15 cup. The ladies are currently competing in the North Eastern regional league after gaing promotion last season. The Under 8's have competed in three tournaments so far this season and with new players being added each time, they have been very successful.

The Under 10's are having a very successful season and are so far undefeated and are in the final of the league cup. The under 12's are a new team this season and have progressed really well as a team and are still in the running for silverware in the league cup. AFC Preston Ladies and Girls are always on the look out for committed and enthusastic players to join their new and existing teams.

The U10's had a great day South Cave Sporting Club tournament starting off facing chants and matching them well.

A dip in performance followed but stuck to it with team goals coming from

In the semi after dinner I thought we would burn out but a 1-0 win against South Cave saw the team into the final against Hessle Sporting Koalas.

We reached the final game when a few nerves set in and finished 1-1 which meant penalties. 🫪

We went to sudden death and considering how inexperienced the girls are at taking penalties they stood up well to the challenge.

Ella and Nelly burnt the net and
Annalise made 2 amazing saves taking them to the win.

I proudly picked up that trophy which is testament to all of the wonderful players, families and amazing volunteers who have given up hours to coach and assist with the teams. Massive applause to the whole AFC Preston community and to my family who have supported my work over the past 20 years.
