Well done to our Man of the Match for Coaches & Parents Awards from our friendly today against Longhill Ravens U15 🏆👏🏼⚽️

⭐️Coaches Player - Riley ⭐️
Riley dealt with everything the opposition threw at him with ease today - calm, composed and always in control. Confident on the ball, he pushed forward at the right moments and caused the opposition real problems. Riley’s been with us since the beginning of pre‑season and he’s already showing how big his impact will be this season. 👏🏼

⭐️Parents Player - Harrison B ⭐️
A composed, intelligent midfield performance from Harrison B. He controlled the centre of the pitch superbly, consistently progressing play while using excellent positional awareness to shut down opposition attacks. Harrison’s passing, tackling and overall work rate were outstanding. Despite only joining us recently, he’s settled into the squad brilliantly. 👏🏼

Well done to you both, keep up this amazing effort 🙌🏼

⚪️ FULL TIME — LONGHILL RAVENS 3 - 5 HALL ROAD RANGERS SHARKS 🔵⚪️

Pre‑season ends with a superb win for the Sharks! A strong 80‑minute battle against a Longhill Ravens side playing a division above us this year - and the lads absolutely rose to the challenge.

We raced into a 3–0 half‑time lead, a quiet spell for 15 minutes let Ravens pull it back to 3–3, but we showed our trademark grit to finish the job with two late goals.

Plenty of chances created, loads of positives, and clear signs of progress made across the summer. The hard work is paying off!

Congratulations to our trainer of the week which sees the award this week going to:

⭐️ Number 2 - James R - Our one & only Robbo ⭐️

Robbo’s attitude and application was first class the full session, showing why he is rightly viewed as a leader amongst the lads. He put real effort into the fitness drill at the start of the session, giving 100% in the sprints.
As we progressed into a defence vs attack drill he led the defensive line well, his positional sense was excellent and his passing out from the back was on point to give an outlet and start attacks.
We then went into a fast paced shooting drill you could be forgiven for thinking he was a striker! His passing and crossing to tee up his team mates was crisp and precise and nearly every one of his shots found the back of the net with power and placement!

Our 26/27 league fixtures are set, and we are ready to get stuck in! ⚽️💪🏼

We know there will be some movement along the way, with cup fixtures and potential weather changes to dates but this gives us a great look at what’s ahead for us.

A brand new season, a new challenge and plenty of football to look forward to! 👊⚽️

We’ve worked hard throughout pre-season, tested ourselves against some tough opposition and now it’s time to get this season underway!

Well done to our Man of the Match for Coaches & Parents Awards from our friendly yesterday against Tickton Azzuri U15 🏆👏🏼⚽️

⭐️Coaches Player - Harrison B ⭐️
What a debut from our new recruit, Harrison. One training session last week and straight into the friendly - positional sense, quick feet, work rate and a clever goal on his debut! This boys got it all, and we’re delighted he’s now a Shark! 👏🏼

⭐️Parents Player - Fin ⭐️
Fin has impressed on the right of our midfield during preseason, his link up play, work rate and ability to drive forward into the opposition box to assist or strike the ball has caught our eye, he was unlucky not to score during the game👏🏼

What a game to finish our pre-season! 🙌🏼

We knew this would be a tough test against a strong, established Division 3 team from last season, and AFC Tickton Azzuri didn’t disappoint!

The Sharks battled hard from the start, it took us 10 minutes to get into our rhythm but once we settled into the game our football started to flow. Some great passing, clever movement and a strong back line that held together really well certainly got tested against an Azzuri side who took the game to us.

Both teams fought hard for the goals scored and neither side was willing to give anything up easily, with the game going end-to-end and both teams meeting each other throughout. Then the weather took a turn! 🌧️😂 The downpour didn’t put anyone off, though, the lads just rocked the soaking wet look and carried on battling! 💦

We missed a few, and Azzuri missed a few that both teams would usually have scored, looks like this game set the tone for our upcoming league fixtures once the season is underway.

A fantastic game of football finished 3-3, a fair reflection of a competitive and entertaining final pre-season test.

Congratulations to our trainers of the week form the last couple of weeks which had the award going to:

05.08.26 ⭐️Number 14 Harrison ⭐️
Harrison was our Trainer of the Week, showing excellent pressing, composed striking and intelligent link‑up play throughout the session. His effort in the fitness drill was outstanding.

12.08.26 ⭐️Number 7 Mason ⭐️
Mason has been fantastic in training, showing great work rate, determination and focus throughout the sessions. His movement off the ball and willingness to get involved really stood out, along with some excellent passing and decision-making.

Brilliant effort from both our new signings!
