We’re raising money to help fund future events and competitions, giving more children the opportunity to take part without parents having to worry about the cost.

✨ Exciting New Classes Coming to Academy 96! ✨
Here at Academy 96, we are always looking for new ways to grow, improve, and create opportunities that help every child thrive.
We are hoping to launch our FREE TO MOVE classes for children with SEND in September, but we need your help!
As a SEN parent myself, I understand the challenges we face every day. I know how overwhelming it can feel to take your child to a new club, with the worry of whether they'll feel comfortable, be understood, or simply be able to enjoy themselves.
Our FREE TO MOVE classes are designed to be a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space. Sessions will be:
💜 Low volume
💜 Sensory-friendly
💜 Interactive
💜 Child-led, allowing every child to explore music and movement in their own way and at their own pace.
Our aim is to create an environment where children can freely express themselves while parents have the opportunity to connect with others who understand their journey—or simply sit back, relax, and watch their child explore with confidence.
If this is something you would be interested in, we'd love to hear from you! Please let us know which days and timeswould work best for your family. We understand that not all children with SEND attend school or nursery, so we'd like to make our timetable as accessible and accommodating as possible.
Your feedback will help us create classes that truly meet the needs of our local SEND community.

On Sunday, we split our team for the very first time!

Two of our girls travelled to the DKKQ Heat in Wigan, and they danced beautifully. Both gained recalls, which is an incredible achievement, and we're so proud of them! ✨

The rest of our team headed to Newcastle for the Helen Telford Trophy Day. What an amazing competition! All nine of our girls gave absolutely everything. We had recalls for almost every dancer into the semi-finals and came home with winners, runners-up, top 3 placings, finalists, and so many personal achievements along the way. 🏆

We couldn't be prouder of every single one of you. Your hard work, determination, and teamwork never go unnoticed.

One more competition this weekend, then it's 6 weeks of hard work and grinding before we go again. Let's keep pushing, Team Academy96! 💖💪
