group of dedicated volunteers with a vision to connect and engage the community.

We aim to inspire local people to engage with this green space and reignite passion for our beloved park. MISSION STATEMENT

The Friends of Alderman Kneeshaw Park are a group of dedicated volunteers who strive to make our vision a reality by engaging and connecting with HU9 residents, families, schools and sports clubs through Alderman and Kneeshaw Park. We are committed to taking a lead in the so

cial, environmental and spiritual regeneration of the park in a holistic, proactive and meaningful way so that it is a place where everyone feels safe, families play and grow together and lasting memories are made. We hope to engage the help of the wider community including our ward councillors, local businesses, sponsors and partners so that our park is a place where people want to visit and HU9 continues to be a place where people are proud to live.

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who don't just support our park, but also give their time and energy to other projects across the community.

This week we'd like to give a special mention to Barry, who has been lending a helping hand at the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Molescroft project 👏

Your willingness to share your skills, support others, and make a difference wherever it's needed is what community is all about. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

We’ve had an amazing donation of plants from Sheppards nurseries (thank you! 🙌) and now we’d love some volunteers to help us get them into the ground and brighten up the park.

🕙 10am – 12pm
📍 Meet at the pavilion off Amethyst Road Alderman Kneeshaw Park
🥪 Lunch provided
No skills, tools, or experience needed — just a bit of enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in 🌱
You don’t need to stay for the full two hours — even 30 minutes will make a real difference.
Come along, bring a friend, and help us make the park even more beautiful for everyone 💚
