Men's Mental Health Week starts today.
Every Wednesday in Hull, men from different backgrounds, ages and professions come together for exactly the same reason:
To work on themselves.
Not through talking.
Not through scrolling.
Through doing.
Self-defence training gives people something many of us need more of:
Structure.
Routine.
Challenge.
Progress.
Community.
We've seen men arrive carrying the weight of difficult weeks, difficult jobs, difficult circumstances and difficult periods in life.
And we've seen what happens when they keep showing up.
Confidence grows.
Friendships form.
Life gets a little easier to handle.
That's why training matters.
Not just for self-defence.
For wellbeing too.
