The Stingrays returned to league action today following the summer.
Promotion meant the Stingrays faced Hall Road at home.
The game started quickly and some tenacity from Eden slowed him to knock the ball home for 1-0.
Hall Road hit back to equalise with a well taken breakaway goal.
Stingrays pressed forward despite the set back, and from a corner Eden leapt into prime CR7 mode to score to score an incredible volley! 2-1
Hall Road hit back again with an OG from a corner. 2-2.
Keen to go into the half time in the lead stingrays pushed on again with Abdullahi hitting a wonderful strike from range to restore the lead. 3-2. The Hall Road goalkeeper had an inspired half!
The second half started much like the first, with the Stingrays dominating the game and more tenacity from Eden lead to his hat trick goal. 4-2
Chances continued to come and go with the Hall Road keeper doing all he could to keep the Stingrays at bay, until Archie picked the ball up on the edge of the box and rifled it into the top corner. 5-2
Eden went on to pick up another to wrap up the game 6-2.
Good first performances all round.
Special mentions to captain Max and to Isaac making his debut today in fine form.
