19 members fished our last match of the season at Swanlands fishery Thorne, fishing Chestnut Lake. With the remnants of storm Amy passing through, and after a lot of rain going into the lakes, it wasn't surprising that the fishing would be a struggle but some still managed some decent weights headed by Ian Ralph for finally a first, well deserved match win with the club.

Last Sundays match saw us at Westlands lakes, Catwick, fishing the Middle Pond. It fished really poor and weights were well below average. Apart from Will, who managed to draw one of the favoured pegs on the arm, it was really tough going for the rest.

A tough day at the office for only the 13 members that fished the latest match at Sykehouse Fishery on Twin Isles. The only person able to tempt some huge lumps towards the end was Will Barlow, including one weighing 16lb.
His 86lb 8oz not only blitzed the match, it even won his "team of 4" the money even though he was the only team member fishing.

Our last match was held at Banks End Fishery on West End Lake. Apart from our match winner, Will Barlow, it was a real struggle for everyone else. Will drew the flyer, peg 22 on the point, which also happened to be the Golden Peg, worth an extra £118, and made no mistake in tempting some huge lumps up to 13 pounds on meat to romp away to victory. Well done Will.

Our latest match saw us fish Lindholme Lakes on Willows lake. To say it was hard going was quite an understatement. The lake did not fish well at all. Carp were hard to come by and most weights included a fair amount of decent sized skimmer bream.

1st match of the 2025 season was held at Forest Lane Fishery, Alne, on Arena Lake. In a tight match where most carp were of the 12oz to 1lb 8oz mark, it was Paul Render who eventually prevailed fishing maggot shallow for most of the match. Close behind and only one fish separating them, was Ian Ralph. After that it was very tight for the minor places and sections
