3 years into this competition and it has been such a pleasure hosting & watching this event unfold.
I can openly say the standard of angling amongst this competition is really quite something, and it has been so close on so many occasions!

✨We would like to say a massive thank you to EVERY SINGLE ANGLER that has supported & contributed to these matches throughout the year, even down to helping the weighing in. It all helps make it remotely possible and has made the final what it has become today!👏

Well done for today’s winner Gareth in our practice match ahead of Saturdays Ace of Acorn 2026 final👏loads of big weights all round 🥳

Back to Acorn Fishery today for the official practice open ahead of Saturday's final ♠️ Really keen to fish this after struggling on Saturday, confidence was pretty low and I had to try and work something out. Only 15 fishing so plenty of room and always likely to fish well 🐳 Drew out peg 7🚀 Not one I've ever had before but I know it's a great peg. Spent the first 4 hours rotating 3 or 4 hard pellet lines before spending the last two down the edge. Had a fantastic match and ended up with 295lb to WIN 🏆🥳 but only just as Des Shipp weighed a fantastic 291lb from peg 1 for 2nd 🥈👏 As expected it fished its head off with 6 or 7 double tons 😳 Fair to say I'd give anything to draw that peg again Sat 🤞🤞 Let's hope I haven't peaked too early! 😁

With our website currently being rebuilt, I just wanted to re-share our rules ahead of some of the upcoming matches we have scheduled, and to remind pleasure anglers of them too.

🐛Please can I remind everyone that bait is not to be thrown in at the end, please put any left overs in the black bucket provided, by the net dip.

🪱plenty of fresh bait will be available from Cadbury Angling, for caster orders please call ahead 📞 to avoid disappointment, as these are on a first come, first serve basis.
