We're delighted to publish our Return to Play guidance for Step 3, effective from Monday 17 May. The headlines:

1️⃣ All restrictions on formats and numbers for organised activity under the jurisdiction of Bowls England will be removed.
2️⃣ Car sharing will be permitted.
3️⃣ Indoor hospitality can resume.

Abbrook opened last Saturday. What a great day to see everyone out on the green enjoying themselves. great day.

Abbrook Park opening day on Saturday was a great success. 40 members in total had a roll up over 2 sessions. A very enjoyable day and so good to be out on a lovely sunny day.

GREEN OPENING.

Green Opening Day will consist of a roll-up on Saturday 17 April at 2:00 pm. under Covid distancing rules.

Format: Triples on 4 Rinks.

Dress code: Greys.

Booking: Bowls England guidance states that we may only allow 24 players on the Green, so you MUST book a place. Either by replying to this email, telephone or text by Wednesday 14 April at 5:00 pm.

Important: If you have not booked a place, you will not be able to play because, the teams will be selected before Saturday.

Only if the first session is over-subscribed, will we run a second Roll-up session at 4:00 pm. so please state your first and second choice of session times when booking.

The changing rooms will be open, under Covid distancing rules, but the Clubhouse remains out of use other than for Bar and Kitchen staff.

Visitors: Unfortunately, Bowls England stipulate that visitors are not allowed. However, we will need volunteers for the Kitchen (tea and coffee) and Bar. Please let me know if you are willing to assist.

Greenside service will be available; indeed, it will be encouraged! Harry and Bill have volunteered for the Bar, but we still need at least one server please.

Future Rink Booking: Rinks can be booked from today for any day after Saturday. The system remains the same as last season. A green MUST be booked in advance naming all participants. (see attached). A rink may consist of any format, including fours, but the maximum number of players on the Green must not exceed 24.
