Kingskerswell Colts Youth Football Club Kingskerswell Colts are a youth football club based in the village of Kingskerswell on the outskirts of Newton Abbot, Devon.

We are members of the Pioneer Youth League and offer football to children from the age of 4 to 16.

The U15 Whites started their season with an away trip to Stoke Gabriel Blacks, here’s what coach Sheridan had to say about the game

“ We welcomed a few new players to the team, including one playing football for the very first time and two who had never played in a team before — a huge well done to them for getting stuck in!
Despite the scoreline, we had plenty of possession, created lots of chances and had numerous shots on goal. A couple of their goals came from moments of hesitation that we know we can improve on, but overall this was a really good game of football against what will be one of the toughest teams we face this season.
The improvement in this team compared to where we finished last season is absolutely massive, and that is something we should be really proud of. We also received lots of compliments from the Stoke Blacks parents about how well the team played.
Well done to everyone for running their socks off, giving everything and making every effort right until the final whistle “

The U8 Whites hosted Stoke Gabriel Reds on Sunday and this is what coach Paul had to say “ The boys did start brightly and managed to test the stoke goalkeeper and defence with a few decent chances. However as the match went on, Stoke were clinical in their finishing and the Whites particularly found it difficult to get out of their own half in the final two quarters. We will work hard at training on Tuesday and I know this group can bounce back. “

Keep working hard lads and go again next week

⭐️ The star player trophies went to Theo & Dugie ⭐️

Managers player went to Theo for doing a sterling job of every position he was asked to play in, and for never giving up.

Supporters player went to Dugie, again for his overall performance, but especially his performance in goal in the second half. Without him, the scoreline would have been much more.

Well done to both of you 👏

Unfortunately the early start and it being the first game back after the summer meant coach Paul forgot to take a team picture but he has agreed to do 100 push ups at training as punishment

⭐ Josh and Austin were the star players for the U15 Blues today ⭐

Coach Adam said “Josh and Austin were chosen as star our players.”

“Josh was great in midfield and scored a brilliant volley from the edge of the area, that thundered in off the crossbar. Austin as always brought his typical hard working performance to the pitch, he read the game well and made some important blocks and runs down the right side.”

The U15 Blues made a great start to the season against Broadmeadow this morning winning 4-2.

Here's what coach Adam had to say "After a slow start, I thought we looked great, particularly in the second half. I was really pleased with all the performances across the pitch 👏 Plenty of minutes for them all as well.”

“Well done to Harry C, Josh and Harvey for their first goals for the club”

⭐ Our star players for the U10 Juniors were Alfie and Lily ⭐

Coach Nathan said " Managers player today was a tight call between Ellis & Alfie as they both scored four each but we decided to go with Alfie as he scored a couple of really nice finishes from outside the box and also did really well when dropped into midfield for a quarter.

Supporters player today went to Lily, a superb performance from her today on her league debut for the team, she made some great saves today including a brilliant double save to keep a clean sheet, she was vocal from the back and was calm with the ball at her feet."

The U10 Juniors started off their league campaign against our U10 Whites. Here's what Coach Nathan had to say about the game
"The U10 Juniors faced the U10 Whites today and put in a superb performance to achieve a positive result. They started quickly and raced into an early lead, after this the whites came into the game and had a few chances but were denied by some great saves from Lily in goal. In the second half of the game we then started to play the way I know we’re capable of and played some brilliant passing football, scoring some really good team goals. I was really impressed with the work rate of the whole team today and also their decision making in the final third. Credit to the whites who never gave up and worked hard throughout and on another day could have scored a few."

⭐ Oliver picked up the star player trophy today ⭐

Coach Alex said "Player of the match was Oliver, we asked him to play holding midfield today and he did a brilliant job, winning countless headers was always there to collect the second ball, calm and composed and drove the team on!"

Our U12s showed real determination today against Stoke Gabriel. Here's what coach Alex had to say
"The under 12s started the season with a 2-2 draw against Stoke Gabriel. We had a couple of players missing today which meant we only had 10 but the boys worked really hard and put in a great shift. We took the lead fairly fortuitously with a long range effort spilt by the keeper. The Second half we sat back a little too deep and allowed Stoke to play the long balls into our box which resulted in them scoring two.
A Brilliant response from the boys going 2-1 down though and in the last minute we got a deserved equaliser with a fantastic finish into the top corner. A Draw was probably a fair result in the end. Overall a decent opening day to the season"
