The girls were disappointed to come back without at least a point against last season’s runners up Horrabridge. The girls competed well for the majority of the game creating some chances. Congratulations to Horrabridge whose strength and power came good in the end with a late strike 5 mins from time winning the match.

Huge amount of positives to come out of the match with a side predominantly age 17 and under.

All, you are probably aware that we are supporting the campaign to ‘Save Torbay Hospital’. What started as a Save the Heart unit at Torbay Hospital has expanded to the whole Hospital. This is after it was announced the A & E unit would only be opening from 9am to 5pm. So basically if you have an accident or are taken ill out of working hours you will be taken to either Exeter or Plymouth which is not acceptable. We are having a meeting next wednesday (26th) at 7pm where leading members of the campaign group will explain what is happening and give us the opportunity to find out how we can support their campaign. We could probably hold one or two events throughout the year to help the cause. This news affects all of us, individually, and also our familes and friends. If possible i would like as many of you from the committee and Board to attend please. Please also bring any family or friends. It really is an important cause, which affects ALL of us. Thank you 🙏

The Women’s Team returns to The VX3 Stadium – Homers Heath this season, competing in the Sports Lighting Devon Women’s League West Division under Team Manager Ben Williamson.
