What's the difference between builder gel (soft gel, biab), hard gel and acrylic?
Fundamentally it all comes down to one thing STRENGTH/FLEXIBILITY!
There are many other differences between the products like how they cure and how they are removed but when it comes down to choosing which product is best for you as a client, after determining your lifestyle, length and desires we will choose the nail enhancement that matches these to create your flawless enhancements.
And in what strength order do they go? Exactly how they are written.
Soft gel, Builder gel, biab ~ Most flexible, soak off.
Hard gel ~ The O.G gel ~ Least flex of the gels. Not soak off.
Acrylic ~ The strongest of the nail enhancements with the least flexibility and can be soaked off.
But don't worry as the client its not for you to know exactly what you need, it's for your nail tech to help work out with your help.
This is going to be my next course this year a refresher on prescriptive manicures, as the nail industry is always so quickly evolving constant reeducation is essential!
And for me this year is all about education, knowledge and upskilling to max, mastering the craft to the highest possible standard, helping to raise the quality and standards of the industry and ensure I am working to the best I can be for myself and my clients π
