I am insured by the Register of Exercise Professionals and fully qualified in the following; Personal Trainer - Level 3, Antenatal and Postnatal exercise, Hatton Academy Trainer (Boxing and Kickboxing Fitness) - approved by

British Boxing Board of Control. Highly experienced and qualified in Exercise on Referral (rehabilitation), Obesity and Diabetes. also have a martial arts background including Judo, and hold black belts in Te-Ashi-Do Freestyle Karate and Kickboxing. SERVICES

Exciting news! I’ve been frustrated for some time at having to turn clients away as they’re not enough hours in the day to fit them in 😫 but now things have changed 🤩

Alongside my work at Marvel Fitness, I’ll also be COACHING ONLINE from today, with realistic and achievable personalised training and nutrition plans to suit you, whatever your lifestyle.

You will be continually supported and accountable, with full support and frequent check-ins. It will be like having me in your pocket 24/7 😆 - guaranteed consistency! There’s also the option of having 4 weekly in-person progress reviews.

Whatever your goals (weight loss, gaining strength and muscle, sports specific fitness, rehabilitation, post natal ….) I can help you!

PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES:-
I AM: a Personal Trainer (with a few extra qualifications), and am also a licensed coach in certain sports.

I AM NOT: a doctor / pharmacist / dietician / endocrinologist / psychiatrist specialising in eating disorders or depression / a gynaecologist. I don’t make clinical judgments or diagnoses.

Malcom in my local cafe ☕️ always asks how I am and makes me smile - does that make him a “Wellness coach”? My hairdresser 💇‍♀️ Brenda listens to me moan and is full of good advice - does that make her a clinical psychologist? Ann in the launderette (60) looks amazing in a bikini and is rattling with supplements - does that means she’s a “Women’s health specialist” and qualified to recommend supps to help with hormonal changes?

If you’re a PT, know your professional boundaries, and if you’re a client, please refer as necessary to the appropriate professional or seek guidance. Let’s not endanger anyone’s health.

Ricky first cut (11 weeks):- this wasn’t a bodybuilding cut but a healthy lifestyle challenge. But we also wanted to strip body fat to see what was underneath before we decided on the next stage.

At the start, Ricky was eating biscuits, crisps, lots of sugary food and unhealthy fats, fry ups, ready meals, alcohol and eating takeaways 3-4 times per week. Few vegetables were involved! 😱

He started the challenge after a bit of a push from me, and also because everyone said he wouldn’t be able to stick to it - even Ricky himself was doubtful 😆

He gradually began a healthy eating plan with everything cooked from scratch and one cheat meal per week, eventually going on to prepping his meals himself, which he now enjoys 😊

He’s been incredibly focussed and consistent (he says “brainwashed”😆), not cheating once and NEVER missing a training session, despite a very physically demanding job. He hasn’t lost strength or size 💪

I’m SO happy with the results and very proud of all Ricky’s drive and hard work 🤩 Many thanks to the third member of our team Rhys Evans, who was my eyes and ears when I wasn’t there and gave invaluable advice and moral support, and to my coach and mentor Graham Lakey from whom I learned so much about obtaining real and lasting results.

So what next? 🤔 A controlled, healthy bulk, keeping his cardio fitness and as much condition as possible while increasing his strength and size and continuing to work on mobility.

Mobility and flexibility are the foundation of optimum muscle and joint health: strength, agility, speed, injury prevention - just waking up feeling wonderfully relaxed and mobile 😊 instead of stiff, achy and uncomfortable. One of the proudest days of my life - Anya’s goals for 2022 include graduating 👩🏽‍🎓 passing her driving test and getting a graduate job - she’s done all 3 within a week, graduating with at 2:1 from Birmingham University 🤩 while working several jobs during her degree. I couldn’t be more proud and happy for you, Anz! All my love always, fly high! 🥰 ###x

Another Marvel client who has turned his life around 👏 We’re hugely proud of Adam - in November 2021 he weighed 111 kgs. He was already a Type 2 diabetic and his blood sugar levels and hypertension were alarmingly high. All his medication had to be considerably increased. Adam decided to take control of his health - he joined Marvel and radically changed his diet. 5 months on and he’s lost over 18kgs, and trains 5 times a week. His blood pressure is well under control and .....he’s REVERSED his diabetes and is no longer on any medication! His dedication is inspiring and we hope that he will give others the confidence to make their first step. Huge well done, Adam - looking forward to your continuing progress! 😀
