East Prawle Cricket Festival, 22nd August

Next Saturday sees the long anticipated return of the EPCC 6-a-side festival.

This is an opportunity to have a really fun day of cricket and gives a great chance to those who don't play that much, want to try or are just learning the game to have a go. The details are below.

WHEN: Saturday 22nd August, 14:00 to 18:30 (approx)

WHERE: The Tucker Oval, TQ7 2BU

WHAT: A six-a-side cricket tournament from the Bona Ventura Cup.

WHY: For fun, and to give those who don't get much cricket, or would like to learn, a chance!

WHO: Each team must have three players who are not adult male (17 to 64). Two must be women or juniors!

HOW: We use a softer ball, and play quicker games, and have rules which means everyone will need to do something.

FOOD & DRINK: There will be no teas, but you can pre-order your pizzas from A Pizza Me, after the festival.

Friday Night Pizza from 6.30pm
Sat - 11am Lions 2nd test
Sat Evening - Darts Match v The Dolphin Inn
Sunday - EPCC v The Dolphin Inn 2pm followed by Laidies Football on the big screen.(depending on cricket finish)
So if you’re looking for Pizza this weekend, book online to ensure your time slot. Walkin orders will not be so quick out the oven.
Kingston Villagers are coming to support their Pub, would be great to see some locals up the ground too.

The President’s team won by 1 wicket, chasing down East Prawle’s total of 162 to finish on 164 for 9.

EPCC Presidents match

Today sees EPCC take on the Presidents select XI on what is set to be a scorching afternoon.

1:30pm start at The Tucker Oval

Last year saw a tight match with EPCC taking the spoils by one wicket with two balls to spare

There will be a post match BBQ held in the field.

A disappointing loss at The Tucker Oval today to a good Strongroom side but a good afternoon had by all.

Next week we face another touring side Dunsford CC on Saturday 28th.

Weather permitting nets will be as usual on Thursday, 6pm. All welcome, members old and new!
