The weather and sea state are improving so we should be able to attempt our Eddystone Lighthouse to shore swim on Wednesday 1st Oct.
Apart from the joy of a loooong swim (15 miles plus) we are raining money for Surfers Against Sewage so if you can spare a few quid please follow the link tinyurl.com/ybf99sx8

Back into the blue sea to coach some lovely swimmers and have a stretch out myself.
Glistening in the sunshine is a lighthouse....next swim is from the Eddystone Lighthouse back to shore.
Conditions are looking great for Wednesday so watch this space.

Keeping the training up has been hard due to the stormy seas, but it's Wednesday or 2026.

And so the training continues, John Ryrie and I are hoping for a change in the stormy weather so we can get the Eddystone Lighthouse swim 🏊‍♂️ Done later next week.
We can see some calm conditions on the way, but in the meantime, it's all interval training in the windy chop.
Oh, the glamour of it all.
I will keep you updated on a possible swim event day soon...

What a day
Park Run
20km bike ride
Sea swim
17km bike ride
Just to keep us busy as the Mad Hatter Sports Events was cancelled due to high winds.
Cycling in high winds was 'a joy '!

Practice swim in some choppy waters 'out at sea' this morning.
Useful exercise to learn how much I don't like being on a boat when it's choppy and how to swim along side the boat.
