As we come to the end of another year, I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thank you all for your continued support, enthusiasm, and contribution to the AMC Radio Club throughout the year. It's great to see and to share in the enjoyment that amateur radio brings us all.
I would also like to remind everyone to join us tonight at 7:30pm, Sunday 21-12, for the AMC Christmas Quiz. It should be a fun evening, and it would be great to see as many members as possible taking part.
I hope the festive season brings you good health, happiness, and perhaps a bit of new radio gear under the tree. May the New Year bring good conditions, strong signals, and plenty of enjoyable contacts.
On behalf of the committee, thank you once again, and I look forward to another great year of radio together.

I hope you are looking forward to the club's FT8 / 4 contest this coming Saturday 13 May. From 9am to 12am (midnight)

So we have two categories that you can enter into, 10w and less and 25w and less. You will just need to put a specific contest id in station master.
To enter the contest, head to Discord here https://discord.gg/5e4UarbR and enter 10w or 25w so we can add you to that category in Station Master.

All contacts will be logged in real-time using Station Master, ensuring accuracy and ease of record-keeping. If you're not currently using Station Master, don't worry! We are here to help you set up your preferred alternative logging software to work seamlessly with Station Master. Our team will assist you in getting everything set up before the contest begins to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience.
This time around, the club will be issuing certificates of your world ranking and local ranking.

Sunday, 19th Feb is the first AMC radio club "HAMS ON THE HILL". This is a chance for us to get outdoors and get some fresh air, and beautiful scenery and make some contacts. The band will be 40m and the frequency will be posted on the day. Please have your grid reference location available to pass to others when contacts are made.

It was great to see so many people on the zoom call last night, it started at 7pm, and I think we finished at about 11pm. People were dropping in to say hello. We went through some moc exams and had some fun with that. If you have half an hour on a Friday and want to come to say hello, just do it :) You don't need to have a camera. You can just use your phone and voice, you don't even need to be a member, just ask for the link below and we will send it to you.
