Two more results from a busy tennis weekend… 🎾🎾

Sadly, it was a very close 2-2 loss for the Mixed 1s on Sunday. Simon, Chloe, Jenny & Paolo were away to Frindsbury, and just 4 games separated the teams — unfortunately not in our favour this time 😌

Elsewhere, away in Canterbury, our Ladies 2s welcomed brand new team member Jess, who played brilliantly in her first ever match for the club 🙌🏻

Canterbury took the win, but Kate, Catrina, Helen & Jess had a great afternoon, with Helen captaining the side for the very first time too 👏🏻

Pleased to report a wonderful ⭐️WIN⭐️ today for our Mixed 2s at home v St John’s Mixed 1s. The matches were played with great sportsmanship, with the final score ending 2–2, and we took the win by two games. Every game really does count…

We fielded three of our junior players who, alongside Cordova, were so impressive with their consistency, skill and composure on court. Thanks as well to Ellen for filling in at short notice and for the great support on the sidelines 👏🏻

‘We win some, we lose some…’

☀️Congratulations to our Mixed 1s today for a fantastic 3-1 home win against Blackheath, which puts them into 2nd position in the division 🥳 Well played Hervé, Jenny, Chloe & Simon 🙌🏻

Unfortunately on Tuesday we had a close Men’s Doubles 4-4 loss by one set in the local derby v David Lloyd 🎾🎾 Well battled Simon, Andy, Mané & Paolo, who came away entertained by some very enjoyable matches played in great spirit 🤩

Sadly our Mixed 1s were defeated 3-1 away against a strong Bromley Wendover team at the weekend, though apparently it was nearly a closer 2-2 loss if only we had clinched that damn CTB… 😩

However, our smiley team of Simon, Jenny, Hervé & Chloe were offered beer after the match which helped raised spirits 🍻

We’ve also now realised we no longer have to rely on Chloe’s artistic ’ability’ of drawing people in if they leave before the team photo is taken, which is a real positive for our social updates… 🥳 😃🙌🏻

Despite a sturdy performance, our Men’s 2s team unfortunately took a 4-0 loss today away against Trottiscliffe Men’s 1s. Luckily though they weren’t too grumpy afterwards for a team photo… 🎾🤔😅😐🎾

There were still some excellent rallies & fiery play on display from Kings Hill’s Big Four: Paolo, Ketan, Simon & Chris H. A special well done goes to Chris who was playing in his first ever match for the club & managed to take one of the rubbers to a CTB with Ketan 👏🏻🙌🏻
