As we get older, keeping our arms strong is vital for everyday tasks whether that’s carrying heavy shopping, gardening, or lifting the kids.

But standard pressing movements can sometimes be tough on the elbows.

The cable pushdown is a fantastic, joint friendly alternative because it keeps constant, smooth tension on the triceps without overloading the joints.

How to do it safely:

- Keep your shoulders relaxed and down

- Keep your elbows pinned to your sides like
they’re glued there.

- Press down smoothly and control the
weight on the way up.

Next time you’re in give this a try on the cable machine → keep it controlled, and
your elbows will thank you!

Back stiffness isn’t fixed by stretching harder.

Posting this to keep myself accountable!

I’ve spent the majority of the year working on strength goals and neglecting the most important muscle, the heart! So time to get the runners back on and see what can be done in 3 months

Great eastern half marathon booked ✅

Most important part of my training will be to just enjoy the mix of running and strength training with no pressure on aiming for a particular time which is hard for me as I’m always focussed on getting PBs!

Hyrox Birmingham it was a blast 💥

Been asked a lot this week if I’ll do another, not sure about solo again but would definitely like to do a doubles!

Main focus now is to build up some strength, mainly because if I do another I can then move those sleds a little easier 😂😂
