Match Report:
Fife Star travelled to The Myre in Kinross to face Kinross Colts in league business.
Star started off strong with some good passing play, however Kinross broke through the defence line and went a goal up with a neat finish in the corner.
Star took the kick off and bounced back strong, with a good move resulting in a calm creative finish from Cameron McGregor beating the Kinross keeper.
The action went back and forth in an even, well constested period of play between both teams, with the Star boys putting in easily one of their best performances of the half.
Kinross came up the park, and a stray cross took a deflection from a defender and sailed past the keeper to put Kinross a goal ahead.
Kinross kept the pressure up, and despite some strong passing play from the Fife Star midfield, a long ball from the Colts found it's way to the edge of the box. The Star keeper completely misjudged the bounce, allowing Kinross to capitalise allowing Kinross to go in 2 goals to the good at half time.
The Kinglassie boys never seemed to take off in the second half, despite a very promising first half display in all aspects and things turned sour. Kinross piled the pressure on and Kinross managed to capitalise some good attacking play, firing a further five past Star. A Fife Star record broken today too, taking the oldest player ever to feature in a Star jersey at 51.
