We had lots going on at the loch this morning with some of our adults paddling, and part of an assessment for a coaching course taking place on (and in!) the misty loch.

Entries are open for the KCC Regatta and Club Championships at Kinghorn Loch on Sunday 31st August. They will close next Thursday evening so don't delay entering! As registration is much slicker now that entries are done online (plus some of our board members have another commitment in the afternoon), racing will start slightly earlier than in the past, at around 10 am.
PS. If any of you can help on the day and/or donate cake for the tea tent that would be much appreciated. 😊

Thank you to everyone who came along to Paddle. Portage. Panic! on Friday night at Kinghorn Loch.

It was a great night, and we all had a a lot of fun. Thanks also to the volunteers who made it happen.

From a new race format, great weather, and a BBQ to K4 paddling, we're looking forward to the next one already!

It is now less than 24 hours until Paddle. Portage. Panic! at Kinghorn Loch.

Preparations are nearly complete:

▪️Hot drinks will be available ☕️
▪️Course is set
▪️Portage is prepared
▪️Grass is cut
▪️K4s are ready 🛶
▪️Weather is arranged.☀️

You have until midnight to book at the link below but we will accept entries on the night if you want to make a last minute decision. Entries are £5 (for PaddleScotland/PUK members). Please bring proof of membership if entering on the night. Entries will be open from 1830 with racing starting around 1915.

We'd like to say huge congratulations to Debi, our secretary, coach, paddler, plus much more, who won the Paddle Scotland Recognition Award for Community Engagement at a ceremony tonight.

Debi was nominated by Sj for the huge amount of work and volunteering she carries out at the club, but also the wider Kinghorn community.

Well done, Debi! We're lucky to have you and send our best wishes and thanks from the whole club.

Linlithgow Marathon 2024

We had paddlers taking part in the Linlithgow Marathon on the Union Canal on Saturday.

The wind picked up, but we had paddlers in divisions 3, 4, 5, and 8.
A great event and thank you to Linlithgow Kayak Racing for organising!
