No-Gi Training
This is a **No-Gi** course, meaning there's no need to purchase a traditional BJJ gi or any specialist equipment before you start.
With the warmer weather arriving, many people find No-Gi training a more comfortable way to begin their BJJ journey. Simply wear comfortable sports clothing such as a t-shirt or rashguard with shorts, leggings, or tracksuit bottoms.
Bring a water bottle, comfortable training clothes, and a positive attitude—we'll help with the rest.
Course Structure & Attendance
We've carefully designed this programme so that each week's lessons build on the previous sessions, helping complete beginners progress step-by-step and gain confidence throughout the course.
Wednesday is the main course session and forms the foundation of the week's learning. Attendance at the Wednesday class is therefore required and cannot be swapped for another session.
The Thursday class continues and develops the material covered on Wednesday, giving you additional drilling, practice, and understanding of the techniques introduced that week.
We understand that life can get busy, and if you can't attend a Thursday session, you're welcome to attend another suitable class during the week instead.
Please note that replacement classes are part of our regular timetable and include students of mixed experience levels. While you'll still benefit from attending and getting mat time, these classes won't follow the same structured beginner curriculum as the Thursday course session, meaning you may miss some of the progression specifically planned for the programme.
To get the most from the course, we strongly recommend attending both Wednesday and Thursday sessions whenever possible.
