🔥 What a Night at Chalk Farm! 🔥

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported us on the Sportrap last night. Despite the blistering heat, we saw an incredible 125+ rounds shot, and we truly appreciate every single one of you.

Nights like this really sum up what Chalk Farm is all about. Wherever you looked there were smiles, laughter, friendly competition, and people enjoying great targets in a fantastic atmosphere. It was brilliant to see.

🏆 Sportrap Layout 1
Congratulations to Jason Mathewson and Jonny Clark, who both shot an impressive 22 on what proved to be a very testing layout. Richard Bunning managed an excellent 24, but with the prize fund being for A Class and below, the win went to Jason and Jonny. Well done to both of them!

🏆 Extreme Sportrap
Over on the Extreme, it was Dave Gooding and John Newman who came out on top, both posting a very impressive 20 on an extremely challenging layout. Every target seemed to be catching people out throughout the evening.

John Newman came incredibly close to taking the outright win with what would have been a superb 21. Going into his final cage, he needed to hit all five targets to get there, but unfortunately missed his very first bird – the A-bird full use. What made it even more frustrating was that the A-bird was arguably the easiest target on the entire layout; a left-to-right standard showing plenty of face and stalling nicely in front of the shooter. It looked a target that most people expected to hit, but that’s clay shooting for you. That one miss proved costly, denying John both the big score and the outright win on the night.

A special mention also goes to Harry Seal, who was locked in a great battle with John for much of the evening. Harry’s best score remained the 17 he posted on his first attempt, despite several efforts to improve on it. That 17 was enough to secure him the highest first-round score of the night, ending William Reeve’s recent run at the top. Will put in a solid 15 on his first round but couldn’t quite match Harry this week.

👏 Once again, thank you all for another fantastic evening of shooting.

📅 Next week is the Grand Final!

Over the next few days we’ll be releasing:
✅ The full list of shooters who have qualified for the final
✅ The final prize fund on offer

The Tuesday evening Sportrap,s has been incredibly well supported over the last 11 weeks, and we’ll be making sure we give back to all of you who have helped make it such a success.

Thank you again for your support, and we’ll see you all next week for what promises to be a fantastic final!

Great targets, great atmosphere.

🚁 East Anglian Air Ambulance Charity Clay Shoot 🚁

Make sure you get this date in your calendar — Sunday 2nd August 2026 — because this is definitely not a day to miss!

We’ll be supporting a fantastic charity, the East Anglian Air Ambulance, with what’s shaping up to be a brilliant day of shooting here at Chalk Farm Clay Ground.

There will be a brand-new, unshot course unveiled on the day, so it’s certainly going to be something special… 👀👀

With great prizes, a good raffle, and plenty going on throughout the day, it’s going to be a great day out while raising money for an incredible cause.

We hope to see you all there! 🙌

🔥 Week 11 of the Extreme Sportrap is here! 🔥

This is your last chance to come along and secure your free round into next week’s final. We’ve already got some big names qualified, and next week is shaping up to be absolutely awesome!

Come along, get your name down, and give yourself a chance in the final. It’s bound to be great fun.

This week on the Extreme Sportrap, we’ve got two orange targets — one from the left and one from the right. These have been requested by shooters heading over to Eurocash this weekend, so if you’re going, this is a great chance to get some practice on that style of target.

🏆 £30 High Gun prize for the winning shooter on the Extreme.

Over on Sportrap Layout 1, we’ve also got another brilliant round of targets — enjoyable, but still testing enough to keep you on your toes.

🏆 £30 prize fund to be won on Layout 1, awarded to the highest A, B, C class or unclassified shooter, using English Sporting classifications.

The weather is looking beautiful and warm, so make the most of it, get down here, and have a go. Please remember to bring a drink and stay hydrated.

We look forward to seeing you all! ☀️

Another great change around on the Sporting course this week, with stands 8–14 all receiving a full refresh. Expect some fantastic targets that are testing but fair, offering a great challenge for shooters of all abilities.

Stand 9 features an awesome pair of birds. The A bird is a fast right-to-left standard carrying plenty of pace, while the B bird is a left-to-right standard curling across at a fair distance from the cage. As this is one of our multi-trap stands, the C and D birds are both set a little easier for those who don’t fancy quite the same challenge.

Stand 14 is another one to watch. A right-to-left standard launched from our high tower that will certainly test your timing and technique.

We look forward to hearing how you all get on with the new targets. Let us know your favourites when you visit!

See you all Sunday.

Another fantastic evening of late-night shooting at Chalk Farm with plenty of great scores posted across both competitions.

On Sport Trap Layout 1, congratulations go to Jonny Clark and Simon Reinhold, who both shot a perfect 25/25 to take the honours in the prize category. Also shooting flawless rounds were Archie Alexander, Harry Jude, and Richard Bunning, all posting 25/25, but proving just a little too qualified for the A Class and below prizes as AA and AAA shooters.

Over on the Extreme Sportrap, it was another excellent night with some challenging but rewarding targets. John Newman led the way with an impressive 23/25, closely followed by David Gooding and Simon Peacock, who both put in strong rounds of 22/25.

In the first-round competition, William Reeve once again showed his consistency by shooting 21/25, matched by Richard Bunning on the same score. This marks Will’s third consecutive week of posting one of the top first-round scores of the night — a fantastic achievement and a real testament to his shooting. It’s only a matter of time before he turns that consistency into an overall nightly win.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported the evening. We look forward to welcoming you all back next Tuesday for Week 11 as we head towards the final stages of the competition!
