Balancing a demanding playing schedule across three clubs and multiple age groups is a significant commitment in itself. Yet alongside her playing responsibilities, Ruby has also found the time and determination to establish herself as one of the most promising young officials in the game. Across the season, she has officiated an impressive 45 matches, demonstrating a level of commitment and professionalism well beyond her years.

His commitment to the sport, professionalism, and willingness to support the game wherever required have made him an invaluable member of the refereeing community.

Across the season, Antonio has consistently given his time to ensure fixtures could take place, travelling the length and breadth of the country and always stepping forward when support was needed. Refereeing is often one of the most challenging and underappreciated roles within any sport, requiring resilience, composure, and a deep understanding of the game. Antonio has demonstrated all of those qualities in abundance.

His contribution this year is reflected in the remarkable total of 52 matches officiated, an achievement that highlights not only his dedication but also the trust placed in him to oversee games at all levels of competition. Whether managing high-pressure encounters or supporting the wider development of officiating within the sport, Antonio has approached every challenge with consistency and professionalism.

Hosted at Bushfield Leisure Centre, Peterborough, the event brings together the top Under 13 teams from across the country as they battle it out for national honours over two days of fast-paced, high-energy hockey.

Sophia Dabrowski has enjoyed a fantastic season with Farnham RHC, establishing herself as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in her age group. Through a combination of determination, enthusiasm, and growing confidence between the posts, she has played an important role in helping her team secure victories throughout the campaign.

Keeping numerous clean sheets across the season, Sophia has provided a reliable presence in goal and shown an impressive ability to perform under pressure. Her positive attitude and commitment to learning have been noticed by coaches, teammates, and opponents alike, earning her recognition as a player who consistently gives her best every time she steps onto the rink.

Her development has also extended beyond club hockey. Sophia has proudly represented her region and continues to make strong progress within the England Academy programme. Louie Theobald has enjoyed a fantastic season, establishing himself as one of the most exciting young players in the country. Whether representing Colchester, Soham, or the Eastern Counties region, he has consistently demonstrated the quality, enthusiasm, and determination that make him such a promising talent for the future.

In front of goal, Louie has been outstanding. Scoring 37 goals in just 10 games, he finished as the top scorer in every competition he entered, providing a constant attacking threat and delivering when his teams needed him most. His ability to find space, create opportunities, and finish chances has made him a standout performer throughout the season.

Beyond the goals, Louie's all-round game continues to develop at an impressive rate. His technical ability, confidence on the ball, and willingness to learn have helped him make a significant impact wherever he has played. 2026 Under 13 Goalkeeper of the Year – Henry Hopkins Soham Rink Hockey Club

Henry Hopkins is the latest young talent to emerge from Soham’s production line, and it’s fair to ask what they’re putting in the water there. Season after season, the club continues to develop outstanding players, and Henry has firmly established himself as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in the country.

At the heart of an exceptional Soham side, Henry has helped his team dominate throughout the campaign. Across 12 regional league games, his team scored an incredible 117 goals while conceding just 2, a remarkable record that reflects both their attacking quality and defensive strength. That success has already delivered a National Cup title, and with the Under 13 National Finals still to come this weekend, the question remains: can anyone stop Henry and his Soham DB teammates?

While great teams often earn the headlines, every successful side is built on strong foundations, and Henry has been a vital part of theirs. Calm under pressure, dependable between the posts, and consistently producing when required, he has provided the platform that has allowed his teammates to flourish throughout the season.

His performances have also been recognised within the England pathway, where he currently holds a Level 4/5 Academy grade, highlighting both his current ability and future potential. Last weekend he also represented the East region, helping them secure yet another championship title and adding to an already impressive list of achievements this season.

Rupert Oselton has enjoyed an outstanding season, combining leadership, consistency, and quality performances to establish himself as one of the leading players in his age group. As captain, he led his club to a National Cup Final while also playing a key role in guiding his regional team to a championship-winning campaign.

While his contribution to the game extends far beyond goals, Rupert has also demonstrated a strong attacking threat throughout the season, scoring 17 goals in 12 games. Whether creating opportunities for teammates, controlling the tempo of a match, or delivering in key moments, he has consistently found ways to influence games and help his team succeed.

One of Rupert's greatest strengths is his all-round understanding of the game. He combines technical ability with intelligence and leadership, setting standards for those around him and embracing responsibility despite his young age. These qualities have made him an important figure for both club and region throughout the season.

Oliver Mason has been a cornerstone of one of the most successful teams in the country this season, playing a key role in Soham's remarkable Under 15 campaign. As part of a squad that set exceptional standards throughout the year, Oliver provided the calmness, consistency, and reliability that every great team needs from its goalkeeper.

His performances were instrumental in Soham securing both the National Championship and National Cup, completing an impressive league and cup double. In the National Finals, Oliver and his teammates achieved the incredible feat of not conceding a single goal, highlighting not only the quality of the team's defensive structure but also the confidence and assurance he brought between the posts.

Goalkeepers often provide the platform from which success is built, and Oliver did exactly that throughout the season. Whether called upon for a crucial save or helping organise those in front of him, he consistently delivered when it mattered most.

2026 Under 15 Player of the Year – Kristian Hanzlik Soham Rink Hockey Club

Kristian Hanzlik has followed up last season’s Under 13 Player of the Year award by claiming the Under 15 honour, becoming one of the few players to earn back-to-back national recognition. It is a reflection of not only his talent, but also the consistency and maturity he continues to show as he progresses through the game.

Widely regarded as one of the most technically gifted players in his age group, Kristian possesses a range of natural attributes that set him apart. However, what truly elevates his game is the way those talents are matched by hard work, an elite mentality, and a relentless desire to improve and win. He approaches every challenge with determination and has become a player capable of influencing games in multiple ways.

His statistics this season speak volumes. 60 goals in 39 games is an outstanding return, but his contribution extends far beyond goals alone. Kristian was a driving force behind Soham's unbeaten national campaign at Under 15 level, helping lead his team to victory without conceding a single goal throughout the season. Such a remarkable achievement is a testament to the standards and commitment shown by the entire squad, and has earned them a place at the Eurockey competition in Spain next season.

Kristian's performances have also brought him into the England pathway, where he was included in the selection process for the Under-17 squad. While he narrowly missed out on selection this time, his inclusion at that level while still competing in the Under-15 age group speaks volumes about the regard in which he is held.

2026 Under 17 Male Goalkeeper of the Year – Leo Beeson RHC Invicta

Leo Beeson has enjoyed an excellent season between the posts, establishing himself as a key figure for his team throughout the campaign. While his side may not have lifted the trophies they competed for, Leo’s performances were a constant foundation of strength, providing the platform on which their season was built.

Operating behind a defence structured around discipline and organisation, Leo consistently delivered under pressure, producing important saves and showing the composure required to keep his team competitive in tight games. His ability to remain focused and effective in challenging moments stood out across the season.

A standout performer in Invicta’s Under 17 national campaign, Leo played a major role in a strong overall team performance, even if silverware ultimately eluded them. His contributions were widely recognised, and he was unfortunate not to earn selection for the England squad this summer.

Despite that, his development and consistency this season point to a very bright future ahead. Calm, reliable, and growing in confidence with every game, Leo continues to establish himself as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in the game.
