MEDAL MONDAY π
Grab a brew and settle in folksβ¦ this is going to be a long one! βπββοΈπββοΈ
The Kimberworth Striders have been racing all over the place this week, and there have been plenty of brilliant performances, podiums and personal challenges along the way! π
The week kicked off with the Damflask Relays (see previous post π), but the action didnβt stop thereβ¦
On Wednesday evening, a big group of Striders headed to the Not Ulley Res KMR, coming away with some fantastic results.
π₯ Alex Broadhead and π₯ Sean Lee Sackfield battled it out for first and second place, finishing in 21:20 and 21:53 respectively.
π Amy Roper-Bryce is becoming a regular on the podium, taking 3rd Lady!
π₯ Paul Casson also claimed victory in his age category.
Meanwhile at Elmton Chase Steve Lowndes was showing the youngsters how it's done, finishing in 20th position in a time of 32:25. Well done Steve!
Thursday evening saw four brave Striders take on the Higham Hurtle in the heat βοΈ with Christopher Grayson leading the team home in 45:25.

The weekend started with Lily Doyle taking on another tough fell race at the Clougha Pike Junior Fell Race β and she raced so hard she even managed to race right out of her shoe! ππ
Philip Graham took on his first Ultra at the North Yorks 50km Ultra Challenge, battling the heat on the coastal route to finish in an impressive 8:07:41. Amazing effort Phil! πͺ
David Sharp also stepped outside his comfort zone, completing his first sprint triathlon at the Rother Valley Triathlon in 2:12:54. What a debut! ππ΄π
This morning, 10 brave Striders took on the flat (π) roads of Pen*stone in the heat βοΈ

π Not a race, but a wonderful achievementβ¦ Rachael Kay took part in the Rotherham Hospice Midnight Walk, raising an amazing Β£355 in memory of her father. A truly special achievement β well done Rachael. β€οΈ
