Happy 14th Birthday, Boydy! 🎂⚽️
​To the man, the myth, the absolute machine on the pitch—Harrison "Boydy" Boyd—the whole team wants to wish you a massive 14th birthday!

​There’s a reason nobody wants to line up against you on match day. You play with the heart of a lion and an engine that just won't quit. When you get that ball, there is no stopping you...No matter the score, the weather, or how tough the game gets, you leave absolutely everything out on that pitch.

Our last league game today against Ardeer Thistle Blacks 2012’s was a bit of an up and down performance.
The boys have shown grit and determination all season with huge strides in confidence, skills and team confidence, growing each week making us a harder team to play against as the season progressed. We're so proud of how much the boys have put in to their development and fitness and team work.
The long season proved a little too much though for the boys today against a strong Ardeer side of determined and well organised players.

We were down two goals after 6 minutes as we struggled to get to grips with the opposition after a break of several weeks from our last game and boys being out on holidays.
We steadied the ship as the first half progressed, coming close several times from set plays and long distance strikes and unlucky to go in at half time three nil down.
After a good half time talk we restarted like a different team. Bright and alert with great passing and forward pressing suprising Ardeer with the quick plays. An exciting game ensued, lifting both sets of supporters.
Our press paid off when Cole reduced the deficit and the heads were up again.
Ardeer fought back though almost immediately as they reacted to our step up in performance.
Late on, Harris was quick to react as the Ardeer keeper spilled a powerful shot from Ewan's free kick outside the box giving us a bit more of a boost, however it was just too late for the comeback with the match finishing 2-8.
Superb performance from Luke today, shutting out a good few attacks at the back earning him MOTM.
Thank you to all the boys showing real dedication, commitment and loyalty to KFA throughout the season and congratulations and good luck to Ardeer Thistle Blacks 2012’s for next season as we both navigate new leagues and structures.

Congratulations to Kilmarnock Academy winning the U14 Ayrshire schools cup. A thrilling game ending 3-3 at full time and with Kilmarnock Academy winning on penalties against a strong Robert Burns Academy.

Today we faced Glenburn MWFC at home in our group stage tie of the Henry Brown & Co. Cup.
It was a close encounter with both teams showing good strength and control and end to end pressing.
We dipped a little in concentration in periods which caught us out of position in different areas of the park and Glenburn were composed enough to take advantage when it mattered most.

Our resilience and strength training did pay off in the second half where we had a good deal of possession and came close a few times only to be stopped by an in form keeper.

KFA's duck was broken by some excellent footwork and tenacity from Dean who stole the ball and showed a cool head to slot it home with an accurate shot.

Hard work and results over the group stage has earned us a play-off tie with Lawthorn next week for a semi-final place which is a great achievement that shows how far the team has come and how well our players have bonded through the season.

Congratulations again to Glenburn MWFC for an excellent game and good luck for the rest of the cup ties.
