All good things must end - and this is the end for us - at least for now.
7 years ago when I sat in the Campsie Bar with Colin and Kevin, I couldn't imagine that a club then struggling to win and low on confidence would turn into such a great thing on and off the pitch.
We’ve given everything to this club over that time - late nights planning training, later nights celebrating and later nights than that finding players to come in and build a great squad.
It’s been a blast - fantastic fun - but recently the tide has turned against us.
We've never hidden from a challenge, never taken the easy route, and continued to choose to play in some of the hardest leagues against top opposition. We’ve made it to West of Scotland QF’s, League Cup Semi-Finals, challenged for titles and beaten some big sides along the way - a big regret will be never quite managing to line it all up to bring home a trophy.
We could have stepped away, chosen an easier league, chosen an easier system - gone trophy hunting - but we never did - and its been a heck of a slog!
More importantly - everyone involved can be proud of the work we have done off the park, supporting mental health organisations, helping lads beat their demons, supporting families through difficult times, standing together in grief and picking people up at their lowest - it was always about far more than football.
There are far too many people to say thank you to - but a few special mentions go to Eck Logie, Leon Brooking, Brian Cooper, Anton Oliver and Colin Fraser for their support, leadership and help.
Thanks to Kilsyth Athletic for welcoming us in over the last year - im sure ammies football will thrive again in the near future.
Finally to all the players - and their families - who have supported us in some pretty bad times and some very good ones - thank you and good luck in whatever you do next.
It’s been a blast
