As a woman in my 30s and a personal trainer, I haven’t experienced menopause myself, but I’ve done my homework. I’ve recently completed specialist training in coaching women through perimenopause, menopause, and medical menopause. Let’s be honest, this stage of life doesn’t always get the credit it deserves. Hot flashes, disrupted sleep, mood swings, stubborn weight gain — it’s like puberty’s older, sassier sister. But seriously, these hormonal changes can have a big impact on how your body responds to exercise, which is why your training needs to adapt too.
What worked in your 20s might now feel like trying to run a marathon in flip flops, uncomfortable and wildly impractical. But that doesn’t mean your best days are behind you. Far from it. Strength training becomes your new best friend, recovery deserves more attention than just a foam roller, and managing stress is no longer optional. My mission is to help you feel strong, supported, and in control of your body again without the confusion, guilt, or outdated advice. Menopause might be a plot twist, but it doesn’t mean your story is over. In fact, it might just be the start of your most powerful chapter yet.
