Killingworth Archers

Killingworth Archers Killingworth Archers shoot most forms of archery, target, clout and field. The club shoots on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Killingworth Archers was formed in April 1975 with the help of Killingworth Sports Centre and North Tyneside Council. The founder members were Eddie Bransfield, Tommy Hagan, Derek Carter, Bryan Imrie and George McGowan. The club badge was taken from the design on the 'Killingworth' family stone, unfortunately so badly weathered now that it can no longer be seen in detail. In the summer its Tuesday

& Wednesday (juniors night) 6pm, Thursday morning 9.30am and Saturday 12.30pm at the Killingworth Young Persons Club. In the winter Tuesday 6.30pm at Wooden Spoon Sports Hall, Percy Hedley School and Saturdays 10am at Churchill School, Wallsend.

🏹🏹🏹Update - shooting is available on Saturday 20th June for any club member who wants to shoot. Please be at the field for 12.30 for a 1pm start up help put the field out.

Shooting update at Amberley. Please note there is NO shooting on the following dates due to football tournaments:

Saturday and Sunday 11 and 12 July 2026
Saturday 18 July 2026.

Just to confirm we can shoot this Saturday 13 June 2026, 12.30 arrival please to help set up the field for a 1pm start.

Tuesday evenings are not effected ( unless the weather is a pain). We will of course let you know if this changes.

Reminder - the junior metrics competition is on Sunday 21 June 2026: still time to get your entries in! We can potentially accept late entries but to guarantee your place, get your entries in ASAP. Entry details are on the county website and for club members, there is a list in the container at the field. We are accepting entries from seniors and you can shoot the round/ distance you are comfortable at.

Great shoot yesterday, club western championship, big turn out, indoor trophies given out and a 21st birthday - well done all the indoor winners with Ann, Tom, Lily, Duncan among the awards with ex novice Chris winning the inaugural 18m fita award and Mary & Chris sharing the coveted George McGowan trophy
