Killearn FC Killearn F.C. is an amateur team currently playing in the Forth and Endrick League. The team continues to change, yet success continues to follow Killearn.

The team exists to provide football opportunitues for people in the local community. were one of eight founder members of the Forth & Endrick F.A. which played their first games on July 9, 1910. The Forth & Endrick F.A. is affiliated to the Scottish Welfare Football Association, which was formed in 1918 following the First World War and was affiliated fully to the Scottish Football Association the

same year. Our home park was opened as New Recreation Park on 2nd May 1925. Honours:

Golf Outing 2026

Tillicoultry Golf Club : 10th October

Delighted to be returning to see our friends Tillicoultry Golf Club this year for our annual golf outing.

Always a highlight of the year and a great day out.

£55 a head includes your bus/food/golf for the day.

Leaving Killearn 8am and returning approx 8pm : Saturday 10th October

Unfortunately it wasn't to be last night as lost out in the Tom Yuill semi final to a very good Buchlyvie side.

It looked like the exertions of Saturday and the previous 7 days had taken its toll on the team as we were extremely sluggish in the opening stages and fell behind in the first couple of minutes to a very well worked Buchlyvie goal. It was a poor goal to lose from our point of view as we failed to switch on and track the runners early on. We struggled to settle at all in the opening 10-15 minutes as we tried to get a foothold in the game. We weathered the early storm well enough and gradually played ourselves into the game with Matt Cohn causing problems all night as usual down the right hand side with his relentless energy and running. We levelled with a well taken strike from Fraz from the edge of the box around the 15 minute mark and almost straight from kick off we went ahead when Cammy stole the ball in midfield and broke free to slot home. The game in the balance and it took a Buchlyvie penalty for them to get back on level terms before they added a 3rd to take the lead into half time with a really well worked goal on the break - one which you need to admire with the quality of football.

Half Time 2-3

Second half was much better from our point of view as we were on the front foot for the vast majority. We got a deserved leveller and a deserved goal for Matt Cohn when he was released into the right hand side of the box to finish low into the far corner with his left foot. We felt we should have had a penalty not long after when Matt was first to the ball in the box before being taken out but the referee waved play on. Both teams huffed and puffed looking for the winner in a tight game but it was Buchlyvie that struck with 5 minutes to go from close range after we failed to deal with a delivery into the box. We pushed bodies forward for another leveller but were caught on the break with Buchlyvie adding a 5th in the final minute.

Full Time 3-5

Obviously a disappointing result and defeat in a semi final but we cannot be too critical of the lads after what they have produced this year especially over the last few weeks. To go from finishing second bottom in the league last year to finishing second this season aswell as making 2 cup finals - it shows an unbelievable turnaround and the boys deserve huge credit for the response they have produced this year.

It wasn't our night and we were beaten by a decent side. We still have 2 cup finals to look forward to so there is still plenty to play for.

Tomorrow night we travel to Drymen to face Buchlyvie in the Tom Yuill Cup semi final - which will be our 3rd semi final in the space of 7 days.

Another big game for the lads with little recovery time following Saturday's game.

Kick off is scheduled for 7pm but the game may kick off slightly earlier if both teams are ready due to the light.

Hope to see another big turn out to help push the lads onto a 3rd final 💪

Running out of praise for the team this year - despite missing 3 of our main starters yesterday including top goal scorer Tom Storey in our biggest game of the season - the lads still found a way to get the job done to send us into the Jack Bryson Cup Final.

We expected a tough afternoon and it proved to be the case with Port Glasgow giving us a real test in a tight affair. We started very well on the front foot and had the better of the early stages. We missed 2 great chances to score with the final pass or touch letting us down at the vital moment and in truth the theme continued for the majority of the game as we lacked the clinical edge in front of goal. We broke the deadlock around the 20 minute mark when a well struck free kick from Fraz escaped the keeper's grasp and found its way into the net. Port Glasgow were threatening on a couple of occasions but the defence and Ian stood up to everything they had to offer on another fantastic defensive display. We were the better team in the first half and deservedly went in at the break 1-0 ahead however in truth it could and probably should have been more.

Half Time 1-0

We knew that it was again going to be a tight affair in the second half and that we would need to start taking our chances if we were to progress. Port Glasgow were a major threat from corners and set pieces and we were fortunate not to concede from a corner following a stramash in the box only for us to clear off the line. The visitors eventually got a deserved equaliser for their strong start to the second half when they scored direct from a free kick from 20 yards. One of the major strengths of the team this season has been the ability to bounce back and respond when things are not going our way and yesterday was no different. Following the goal we gained control again and missed another 2 or 3 big chances to go back ahead in what felt like a day that just wasn't meant to be. Fresh legs were introduced with 20 minutes to go and it was 2 of our subs (Clark and Cammy) who were involved in our second goal with 5 minutes to go. A break down the right was stopped and forced over to the left where Clark played a fantastic switch back over to Matt Cohn in the box who calmly cut it across goal for the onrushing Cammy to arrive and finish from 3 yards. The goal sent the home side wild as we found the elusive second goal late on which was well deserved. We didn't rest on our laurels and added the killer 3rd with a minute to go as Scott was found in the box and finished well at the second attempt from a tight angle to clinch the game and send us to the final.

Full Time 3-1

Immense performance and never say die attitude again to go and get the job done even with some crucial players missing. The second of 3 semi finals has been successfully negotiated and we move on to face Buchlyvie on Tuesday night in the Tom Yuill semi final where we hope to make it to our 3rd final in an amazing season so far.

The support and turn out from the village yesterday was unbelievable and certainly the biggest home crowd we have seen for a number of years. It was amazing to see all the kids kitted out in their new KFC strips supporting the side ❤️

A massive Saturday awaits for the club as tomorrow we welcome Port Glasgow in the Jack Bryson Cup Semi Final.

It's our second out of 3 back to back semi finals after we successfully reached the Cameron Cup final with victory against Deanston on penalties on Tuesday night.

We hope to see a big home support along to hopefully push the boys onto another win in what has been a big bounce back season for the club so far.

Our amazing friends and sponsors at The Old Mill Killearn will be putting on some hospitality for both teams after the game for those who wish to join 👍

Another huge performance and result tonight sees us progress into the Cameron Cup final.

A full strength Deanston team stood in our way and we knew it was a very tough task but our never say die mentality saw us through again as we managed to come from behind twice to take the game to penalties whilst also going down to 10 men with 20 minutes to go.

We started very strong and were by far the better team for the majority of the first half. Some excellent football played at times and also some excellent defending to keep a strong Deanston forward line out. We created 2 or 3 good chances but failed to take them and in the end were punished as we went 1-0 down allowing the Bull to take the ball on the turn in the box and finish into the far corner. It was certainly against the run of play but we didn't panic or let the heads drop as the performance was good - we just needed to be more clinical in front of goal. Despite the good performance and chances created, we couldn't get the deserved leveller and went in at the break 1-0 down.

Half Time 0-1

The words at half time were of encouragement and more of the same as we felt that the equaliser wasn't far away if we continued the same level of performance as the first half. The second half was a lot scrappier and we struggled to get into the same rhythm as the first half. Most of the play was down our left hand side when it was down the opposite side in the first half where we caused Deanston the most problems. Despite our slight drop in performance, we managed to level after great work from Tom Storey down the right hand side saw him break free and unleash a strike at goal which was too hot for the keeper to handle and Fraz was there to follow up and finish really well first time into the bottom corner from 12 yards. From then we fell out the game again and allowed Deanston more control and they managed to go back ahead with the Bull finishing well after good work from Geddes in the box. Again we didn't let the heads drop - but we were dealt a big blow as Jack Rice was red carded for a last man offence as Geddes broke clear with 20 minutes to go. It was a real shift for the 10 men for the remainder of the game however we were given a lifeline after Matt Cohn broke free and was fouled in the box for a penalty with 5 minutes to go. Unfortunately Tom Storey was denied by a brilliant save from the Deanston keeper and at that stage it looked like it wasn't to be. Not to be denied, one last massive push from the 10 men saw a long ball knocked on by Matt Cohn into the box where Craw and Tom Storey challenged - ending up with Tom getting a strike away which the Deanston keeper got a hand to but it wasn't enough to stop the ball rolling into the bottom corner to level the game in the last minute and take the semi final to penalties.

Thankfully the boys held their nerve in the shootout to progress to the final with a 4-2 win. Another massive performance and result especially going down to 10 men in the second half against a very strong side.

The character and never say die attitude of the team this season has been immense and it was demonstrated again tonight. The first of 3 semi finals has been successfully navigated and now all attention turns to Saturday as we welcome Port Glasgow in the semi final of the Jack Bryson Cup.

Huge couple of weeks ahead for the club - starting tomorrow night as we face Deanston in the Cameron Cup semi final.

We remain in the hunt for 3 trophies this season after a strong campaign - and we hope that will still be the case after the game tomorrow night - however we are aware of the task at hand against a very strong Deanston side who are regulars in cup semi finals and finals.

A big support would be greatly appreciated to hopefully help push the guys onto the final 💪

The game will be played at a neutral venue in Kippen - big thanks to Paul and the team at Kippen for making the park available for the game 👍

Far from our best at times last night and not at the same level we have been at in recent weeks but it was still a good enough performance which saw us take another 3 points against a decent Gartocharn side.

A very even start but it was ourselves that broke the deadlock after a break down the right hand side saw Tom Storey cross to the back post for the onrushing Fraz to finish well first time under the advancing keeper. Gartocharn managed to level shortly after from a free kick that was delivered to the back post where their defender headed home. It was a very poor goal for us to concede considering the ball travelled from the left back area all the way to the back post and we didn't manage to make any contact on the first ball. We reset and started to get the ball down playing some nice stuff at times. It wasn't long before we got back infront with a really well worked goal. Some great play from Matt Cohn on the right and a superb pass saw him find Clark making a break into the box where he finished brilliantly first time past the keeper into the bottom corner. At this stage we were well on top and our 3rd arrived not long later from the penalty spot after Matt Cohn was brought down by the keeper. Up stepped Tom Storey to clinically net his 20th goal of the season in what has been a standout season for our top scorer.

Half Time 1-3

The early stages of the second half followed the same pattern as the first with both teams battling for the upper hand. For the majority of the second half we struggled to find the same rhythm and quality that we showed in the first half - but this was mainly down to a battling performance from the hosts who never gave up despite their low numbers. Our 4th and final goal came again from Tom Storey after Clark was denied by a great save from the keeper but Tom was there to follow up and finish into the empty net. We could have added to the tally but the quality in the final 3rd alluded us and we had to settle for the 4-1 scoreline.

Full Time 1-4

As mentioned - far from our best last night but even with a few regulars missing and 8 bodies altogether, we still managed to get a squad of 16 showing the real depth and options we have in the squad this season which is the main reason our season has been so much more positive and successful this year.

With Drymen beating Blanefield - it ends our title chances however we will take the positives of a sustained title push into the coming weeks of the season where we will play in 3 semi finals so there is still plenty to play for 💪
