Run report – Event 153 – 21st June ☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A sunny Father’s Day morning 🌞 provided perfect conditions for our 37 finishers this week. Thank you to everyone who joined us to start the day with a run, jog or walk around the park. 👏😊

Congratulations to Joseph E 🥇, who was our first finisher and also achieved a fantastic new PB ⭐. In fact, the good conditions helped no fewer than 9 runners record personal bests this week 🎉⚡. Well done to Joseph E, Benji, Valentina, Amir, Joe, Oscar, Bodhi, Ivy and Chloe C on your brilliant achievements! 🙌🏅

It was also great to welcome lots of first timers 👋🎈 to our junior parkrun. We hope you enjoyed your morning with us and look forward to seeing you all again soon. 😊💙

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers 💛🦺👏. From setting up the course and marshalling to timing, scanning and packing everything away afterwards, junior parkrun simply couldn’t happen without you. Your support is hugely appreciated every week. 🌟

🌟 Parkhill Recreation Ground junior parkrun – Event 152 🌟
What a fantastic morning for Event 152 at Parkhill Recreation Ground junior parkrun, and what a special one it was as we joined the celebrations for the 1 millionth parkrun event worldwide! 🎈🎉

The sun was shining ☀️, the balloons were bobbing 🎈, the stickers were ready ⭐, and there was plenty to celebrate. Most importantly, we welcomed 38 brilliant juniors to the course, supported by an amazing team of 15 volunteers 🙌 who made the magic happen.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers this week, including Beatrice, who joined mum and dad, James and Jennifer, and took on the role of marshal 🚩. She was absolutely brilliant and did a fantastic job encouraging our runners around the course! 👏💜

We also had some fantastic milestone wristbands to hand out:

Congratulations to all three of you on your amazing achievements! 🎉🌟

This week was truly a Sport Spectacular ⚽🏀. After an exciting evening of football and basketball, we were so impressed to see so many children still make it out bright and early for junior parkrun. Your enthusiasm and energy are incredible! 💪✨

Event 151 run report

What a colourful morning at Kidlington junior parkrun for our Rainbows run! 🌈

We were delighted to be joined by members of 1st Kidlington Rainbows, many of whom were taking part in their very first parkrun. It was fantastic to see so many new faces enjoying the course, and a big thank you to the Rainbows for leading our warm-up. We hope you all had fun and that we’ll see many of you back again soon!

A brilliant 45 runners crossed the finish line this morning. Well done to Freddie, who was our first finisher today 🏃‍♂️

Conditions were clearly perfect for running, with an impressive 8 personal bests achieved. Congratulations to Freddie, Francis, Ara, Kamala, Chloe W, Vyara, Layla and Chloe CM on their fantastic PBs! ⭐

As always, a huge thank you goes to our amazing volunteers. From setting up the course and cheering runners on to timing, scanning and marshalling, the event simply couldn’t happen without you. We are incredibly grateful for your support every week ❤️
