Karate & Boxercise in Kidderminster, Stourport, Stourbridge and Bewdley. Offering a safe friendly environment to train in, with fully qualified and CRB checked instructors for all our classes. We’re holding a special First Aid Awareness Course on:

📅 Sunday 18th October

⏰ 10.00am

💷 £10 per person

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn valuable life-saving skills that could one day make a real difference to someone you love. ❤️

The course is also particularly special to Young Gloves as all money raised will go to The Brain Charity, in honour of Lidia Connolly, a Young Gloves member who sadly passed away earlier this year following a brain haemorrhage.

❤️ Every £10 goes directly to the charity.

The course is open to ALL Young Gloves members, friends and family – and ALL ages are welcome.

I couldn’t fit everything into one post, so here’s even more from our very special 5-year celebration at Leapgate activity centre

Some fantastic photos and videos of our Leapgate students in their new Young Gloves Karate T shirts showing off their skills, putting their training into practice and, most importantly, having fun and enjoying themselves. 😊

It really is wonderful to see how much everyone has developed over the years. The confidence, the smiles, the effort and the pride they have in what they can achieve is what makes these sessions so special.

Five years ago we started bringing Young Gloves Karate to Leapgate activity centre and five years later, seeing everyone performing together is something we can be incredibly proud of.
Matt Jarrett you are doing an incredible job, and Amanda Jarrett you’ll be wearing a YGK Leapgate T shirt next time.

Next month Samantha Louise May will be joining in the fun and I know she is very much looking forward to it.

What a fantastic afternoon we had at Leapgate activity centre celebrating 5 years of Inclusive Karate at Young Gloves Karate🎉

To celebrate this special milestone, I wanted to do something that would really show everyone just how much they are part of the Young Gloves family.

So, every member of our Leapgate group was given their very own Young Gloves Karate T-shirt, personalised with their name. 👕❤️

Seeing everyone wearing their shirts was absolutely brilliant.
They looked fantastic and, more importantly, we hope they know just how proud we are to have them as part of Young Gloves.

A massive thank you to Matt Jarrett, who has run the monthly sessions and done an amazing job supporting everyone over the last five years. His commitment has helped make Leapgate activity centre such a special part of Young Gloves. 👏👏
And of course Amanda Jarrett who supports tirelessly at each session.

What a brilliant night with the Young Gloves Team! 😄

A massive WELL DONE to everyone who came along and played tonight. There was plenty of running, some questionable catching 😂, a bit of competitiveness… and most importantly, lots of laughs!

It was great to get everyone together away from the mats and just have some fun as a team. ❤️

🥋❤️ A VERY EMOTIONAL DAY FOR ME ❤️🥋

After an incredible 25 years of teaching with Young Gloves, my brother Sensei Gerard D Thomas has made the difficult decision to bring his classes at St Joseph’s, Stourbridge to an end.

For me, this is about much more than a karate class. He has been beside me throughout so much of the Young Gloves journey, and I honestly can’t thank him enough for everything he has given to the club and to the many students he has taught over the years.

25 years is an incredible achievement. 🥋👏

You’re not just my brother, you’re a huge part of the YGK family — and you always will be. ❤️

A massive WELL DONE to our amazing squad who competed today at the ICO Scottish Karate Open, putting all their hard work, dedication and determination to the test! 🇬🇧🏆
