An established fishing complex set within the beautiful South Shropshire countryside Carp grow to in excess of 20lbs, tench 10lbs and perch to over 4lbs.

Woodside Fishery is a small commercial fishing complex that is fast gaining a big reputation - especially amongst perch anglers. There are three pools available to fish on site all stocked with a variety of coarse fishing including carp, tench, roach, rudd, bream, perch and chub. There are also four log cabins available on site offering superb accommodation for both fisherman and holiday makers alike. We look forward to welcoming you to Woodside Fishery.

☀️ FISHERY UPDATE ☀️

Morning everyone. Hope you're all staying safe in these pretty extreme temperatures.

Just an update on the fishery to confirm we plan on reopening at the weekend to coincide with the weather cooling down.

MATCHES AT THE WEEKEND WILL GO AHEAD AS PLANNED

The pumps are running and we're performing regular DO level checks. Water temperatures were already at 24°C early this morning with DO levels sitting at around 5.5mg/l (67%) after the overnight low. DO levels will likely improve and be better by mid-late afternoon, but it just goes to show how much of a detrimental effect the hot weather can have in a relatively short space of time. This is why we made a call last week to be closed this week - to minimise any additional stresses placed on the fish taking into account any environmental factors that are already less than ideal because of the weather.

‼️WEATHER NOTICE ‼️
☀️🥵⛈️🌩️

Morning everyone. Just a quick notice to inform you that we will likely be shutting the fishery next week given the arrival of extreme temperatures once again. With the mercury predicted to rise above 30°C, we think it's just too hot for both fish and anglers. Looking at the forecast, we hope to be able to reopen towards the end of the week providing nothing changes between now and then.

We can only apologise for any inconvenience, but we have to do what's best for the fishery.

Please note that next weekend's matches will not be affected.

☀ AUGUST SUMMER FESTIVAL 2026 ☀

This years Summer Festival event will take place over 30th - 31st August (Sunday & Bank Holiday Monday). The event is open to a maximum of twenty (20) anglers across both Woodside and Island pools.

Entry is £60 per man (£30 per day) paying out prizes to an overall top three as well as section prizes each day. Anglers will fish both lakes over the course of the weekend.

As per previous years, the event will be based on a points system with the lowest number of points scored determining the winner.
