Summer Doubles League 2026 – Week 4 🎾

Another busy week for Kibworth in the Summer Doubles League, with matches across all teams and some tight contests throughout.

⭐ Highlight of the week:
Ladies 2s with a brilliant 9–0 win — a dominant team performance!

There were also a couple of narrow 5–4 defeats, showing just how competitive the matches are at every level.

Week 4 results:
✅ Ladies 2s — big 9–0 win
🔴 Ladies 1s — 4–5 loss
🔴 Men’s 2s — 4–5 loss
🔴 Men’s 3s — 2–7 loss
🔴 Men’s 1s — 1–8 loss

Plenty of hard‑fought tennis and great team effort across the board — win or lose, it’s fantastic to see so many members representing the club on court 🙌

Summer Doubles League 2026 – Week 3 Round-Up 🎾

The momentum keeps building for Kibworth Tennis Club in the Leicestershire County Summer Doubles League!

Our men's squads took centre stage this week with three highly competitive fixtures, bringing home two fantastic wins.

Here is how the action unfolded:
Men’s 3s (Div 5A) – Monday 11th May
✅ Desford 2 (4) – (5) Kibworth 3
A brilliant, gritty performance on the road! The lads dug deep to edge out a tense 5-4 victory in an absolute nail-biter.

Men’s 1s (Div 1) – Tuesday 12th May
✅ Kibworth 1 (6) – (3) Carisbrooke B
An outstanding home performance! The 1s put on a dominant display to secure a comfortable 6-3 win.

Men’s 2s (Div 3A) – Thursday 14th May
🔴 Leicestershire B (6) – (3) Kibworth 2
A tough away fixture against a strong side. The team fought hard for every single game but just missed out this time around.

Win or lose, the effort, team spirit, and court etiquette across all our teams have been exceptional. It’s fantastic to see so many members out representing the club and playing such high-quality tennis! 🙌

Summer Doubles League 2026 - Weeks 1 & 2 Round-Up 🎾

A busy start to the Leicestershire County Summer Doubles League for Kibworth Tennis Club, with plenty of competitive tennis across our men's and women's teams.

Week 1: ✅️ 4 wins from 5 matches. A brilliant start to the season.

Week 2: A mixed set of results, including a strong win for our Ladies 1s, and teo nail-biters decided 5-4.

Well done to everyone who played. Great effort, great spirit, and a strong sign of an active club community on court.

Fresh paint, fresh energy! 🎾✨

Our top courts 1 and 2 have had a makeover today! They’re looking fantastic and are getting some well-deserved TLC to keep them in top condition for the new season.

​They’re taking a short break to dry right now, but they’ll be ready and waiting for your first match on Monday, 6th April. 📅

A fantastic turnout for our recent Easter Eggstravaganza made for a brilliant evening of tennis, laughter and Easter-themed fun at Kibworth Tennis. 🎾🐣

It was great to see so many members on court enjoying a friendly and social evening together. Events like this are a big part of what makes the club such a welcoming place to play — whether you enjoy social tennis, coaching, team tennis or simply meeting other members.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a success.

🏗️ Top courts 1 & 2 update — temporary closure from Friday

As part of our ongoing investment in the club, the top courts are being cleaned and repainted over the coming weeks.

Here are the key dates:

📅 Friday 20th March — courts cleaned
📅 Week of 30th March — courts painted
⏸️ Courts out of use until week commencing 6th April

The bottom courts remain open as normal throughout. We're keeping our fingers crossed for dry weather so the work can go ahead as planned!

They're going to look great when they're done. 🎾
