Hi. I hope you're keeping well. I've finally had communication from the pool regarding the reopening. Although the pool is now open they are having to run hour long lane only sessions followed by a sanitizing break and there is much more limited availability. Also swimmers are not allowed to stop at the ends of the pool either. As a result they are not allowing one to one lessons at present. I've made the decision to review the position again in January as it seems unlikely that there will be many big changes to this now before Christmas. I'd recommend making alternative swimming arrangements if you can in the meantime. Some pools are doing family sessions I believe and there are group lessons available at many local pools too. I teach at Rothwell Swimming Club which is a teaching club and that will be restarting once the pool opens so I can keep anyone posted on progress with that who is interested. It's also unclear what timetables will look like when things do go back to normal, but going forward evening lessons won't be available unless after 7.30. Once we are clear to back and timetables are issued I can get in touch with current evening swimmers individually to arrange new times. In the meantime, keep safe and well and I'll see you all soon.
