Kettering Golf Club - Captain for 2027 - 28.

This weekend is one of the highlights of the “Captains year”.
A weekend away with fellow members.
Golf, drink and fine food.

This evenings meal at Saunton Sands hotel in Devon was the venue for Tim to reveal his choice!

Kettering Golf Club - Handicap League News.

Yesterday (Thursday 28th May) our Handicap League team played their latest match in Group B of the 2026 competition.

Captain Craig Abbott was “grateful” for the team effort displayed by his Kettering team. In extreme, hot conditions.
Opponents Kingsthorpe, ran out worthy winners by a 14-4 score line.

The high point of the match for Kettering was a “Hole in One” for Marcel Aarts on the par three 15th hole.

Kettering Golf Club - Latest Team News.

2026 - Scratch League (Div 2)

The first match of the season took place yesterday at a “Scorching Kettering course”

Our opponents (and friends🙏) were Kingsthorpe Golf Club.

The result was a fine win for the home team - 5 and a half to Kettering and - 2 and a half to Kingsthorpe.

Congratulations to Team Kettering.

Kettering Golf Club - Latest News.

First let me explain.
If you win your club’s 4 ball better ball knockout competition (2025). The winning pair are automatically put forward into the Northants Golf Union - 2026 Northamptonshire Golf Men’s 4BBB KO.

Step up Kettering Members-
David Potter and Nick Baskerville

Not only did they win a “battle royal” on the 18th green yesterday.
But Nick got a “Hole in One” on the 7th.

Unbelievable 🙏

Kettering Golf Club - Intermediate League match - at Overstone Park - against Wellingborough GC

Today saw the start of the 2026 Intermediate League season.

Blistering sunshine (30degs) on a fast track.
Kettering Team Captain Mark Hastie was grateful to his players for putting up a “hard fought battle”. With Kettering eventually succumbing to a 5-3 outcome.

“Congratulations to Wellingborough. Who proved to be a very tough team” he said.

And congrats to Wellingborough team Captain for the day, Andy Yearsly who scored a hole in one on the par three 4th hole.

Kettering Golf Club - Daily Mail Foursomes for Ladies.

Earlier today two Kettering Ladies - Eve Wilkins and Cathy Kemp (2026 Lady’s Captain). Played their latest match in this Nationwide Competition.

Here is a summary from Cathy. Followed by a “team photo”

“Eve and I completed our match against two lovely ladies from Cosby earlier.
It was nip and tuck throughout the game with both pairs finding trouble at times.
However, we were fortunate that the last few holes went our way so that we won 2up.
We now progress to round 5 for the first time after 3 years of representing Kettering Golf Club”

Kettering Golf Club - Handicap League Result

Captain Craig Abbott was “delighted”to report following yesterday’s away match at Wellingborough.

Before the outcome here is a summary of the format.

Better ball pairs
6 pairs.
In handicap order.
Playing all 18 holes. (To the finish).
Therefore 108 holes to play for.
The team with the most winning holes wins the match.
